Hound and Arya [SPOILERS]

Recommended Posts

Love the dynamic, The scene was pretty much straight from the books, which makes it an auto-win. The actor playing the Hound is amazing. I believe his bravado and that he isnt afraid of anyone.

I do kinda miss Lem and his piss colored cloak though.

Im enjoying this storyline thoroughly so far and cant wait for more scenes with these two.

I'm so much looking forward to their journey together. Really, really looking forward. Her changing opinion of him always interested me in the books. How she stopped saying his name in her prayers.

There's NO WAY the Hound can be bad if Arya decided not to kill him.

I prefer their journey to pretty much every other one. Even jamie-brienne, and especially tyrion's lol.

I love both actors (Maisie and Rory) and Maisie has had great chemistry with everybody she has worked with (Sean Bean, Charles Dance, Tom Wlaschiha etc) so i hope we do get to see a lot of their journey together. I would hate it if they decided to leave out the Inn in the next season (i know the tickler is dead but she could just kill Polliver).

I can see the Hound capturing her in episode 6 or 7. It looks like Beric sends her off with some men from the brotherhood and they are attacked by the Hound (Arya is seen with some men, holding a bow, in the woods during one of the previews and the hound is seen fighting someone in daylight, and neither has happened so far so he propably captures her when she is being escorted to riverrun or the twins). I seem to say it a lot, but i really want Arya to have more screentime this year (to build to her arrival at the twins) and would be upset if she just has a two minute scene with the Hound between episode 5 and episode 9. I would be even more upset if they decided not to include her in that episode, but just cant see that happening. Ending with her being knocked out and making it look like the Hound has killed her would be a great cliffhanger

I'm not sure who in the show universe (not because it's confusing, but because I haven't watched last seasons episodes since it ended) has Needle, but Arya will run into him with the Hound, be it Inn or not.

I'm pretty sure Polliver has it. Maybe she'll quote some of his conversation with Lommy when she kills him, since asking him the Tickler questions wouldn't make much sense.

For example, she could stab him in the legs several times while screaming, "CAN YOU WALK?"

Man, they need to have the Inn scene in episode 10 of this season. It brings home the point that the Starks' cause isn't completely a lost after the RW, and nicely shows how all the shit Arya has been through has messed up her psyche.

OnT, yeah, I loved the scene, and my all indications, the Beric/Sandor fight next episode will be the best duel this show has seen yet.

It was a good scene, I haven't read the books but the Hound looks completely afraid when he finds out he has to duel that one eyed man. I'm guessing he is a BA?

If you haven't read the books, get away from this forum as fast as you can. There're spoilers everywhere.

In GoT the only thing she could condemn him for was riding down Micah. He explained that away with "I vas only following orders." On the whole he seems to have saved more Starks than killed, so no wonder he drops off her list. Now that Jaime has veered in that direction...who's next? It wont be Tywin or the Mountain...mebe Sersei?

What I love about the Hound and Arya are their similarities. Arya didn't have her face burned off, but she had to flee and fight to stay alive, much like Sandor fled his home when Gregor inherited. Sansa and him are similar in that they used to believe in stories and are now more disillusioned (though unlike the Hound, Sansa's not bitter about it). With Arya, her similarities lie in her rage and pain.

Regarding the end of of ASOS with Sandor and Arya...

I didn't interpret her abandoning him as gleefully forcing him to suffer. Sure she was mad he didn't try to save her mother, but she'd already taken him off her list. Both of them were full of bluster--the Hound and his breakdown speech and Arya's cold "maybe some wolves will find you." Just my opinion though.

I can not wait for the trial by combat! I am excited but worried that they won't show most of his great lines.

I am also really looking forward to the Adventures of the Hound and the Wolf Bitch.

I've always thought that there stories were similar too, all three were raised on stories of "True Knights" only to be betrayed by those same knights. Sandor and Arya become embittered, it remains to be seen how Sansa reacts. At the end of Dance, they are all in similar places, too-not literally of-course, but none have their identities, they are all essentially faceless and nameless, all are wanted and all three in hiding. It will be interesting to see where they go from there.
