I was in the same boat for a while. I spoke to my doc and he referred me for a sleep study. Turns out I needed a CPAP. Now I sleep like a child again. If you haven't spoke to the doc about it before, I would ask about it. Highly recommend.

Things like this just make me even more angry at the millions of schlubs who were either too stupid or angry to cast a rational vote during election season.

What does it say in Box 24 of your SF50? Probationary is typically a label used for new hires. Once you are granted permanent status, it should never change. -

Trump is just running his mouth and daring the courts to challenge him. My guess is he'll back off and act like he came to some compromise. His cult couldn't care less as long as they get to say inappropriate shit in public again. -

I had to join the early dinner club against my will thanks to GERD. Gotta eat 3-4 hrs before bed or I drown in stomach acid all night. Now I kind of like it. Easier to get in to restaurants then!

I probably won't change course much. Probably keep paying in to my funds every month. Timing the market has never worked for me. I'm not close to retirement so I can weather the storm. I've been waiting 2 years for a correction that hasn't come. If things trend down I'll probably move some cash back in to the market.

US Politics: The Price of "The Price of Eggs"

I'm not sure how much of this is real and not shock-and-awe. Congress is strangely quiet. Probably because only they have the power to actually make these things a reality. The tariffs have already been delayed 30 days. My guess is it a lot of the old "create a problem that doesn't exist, then provide a solution that was already there" strategy. -

Lesson from this election? Never underestimate stupid people. Especially in groups.

Not really a huge deal offloading Apple. Not much growth there on the immediate horizon, so reducing position would be warranted. The Mag 7 are sill strong, but won't see the same growth vs value that they did in the last year or two. I'm at about a 60/40 cash to stock atm. Still investing at the same monthly rate, but holding off any bigger movements until next FY. NVDA has an earnings report coming next week, so good news may create an opportunity there. SMCI has a 10-1 split coming in October, and they're sorta tied to NVDA for the time being.

Daylight saving time sucks donkey balls… final thread?

I'm open to change, but it won't kill me to keep doing what we're doing. I'm not a huge fan, but I'm used to it. As a U.S. Midwesterner, It's nice to gain an hour of daylight during our warm months. The daylight shifts are easier than losing that hour of sleep. Although, you do need decent window coverings. It was much easier when we lived in Germany, as most homes had Rolladen on the windows, so you could black out any time of day. I really don't know why they're not used in the U.S. Especially in areas with strong storms.
