  1. Yeah, that trailer was not that convincing. I will still watch it, but I'm going in with low expectations.
  2. Yeah, I'm probably going to unsubscribe from Netflix again, and might wait at least until part 2 of Cobra Kai S6 is released. Season 2 of Arcane should be coming around then, too.
  3. Jumping on the Leverkusen bandwagon to root for them in winning the Europa League.
  4. And the fact that that you got to play ironman mode. That's only for the experts.
  5. Aren't there projects in the works to further develop the Central Asian trade corridor which passes through Kazakhstan that connects Chinese goods with European markets? I imagine China would be extremely unhappy if that trade route is disturbed.
  6. I would trust that claim. College students with strong liberal/left wing tendencies don't carry ARs around, even at protests. The US is not a monolith.
  7. Heh, what do you expect from Taylor & Attwell.
  8. Dortmund - PSG Ray Hudson commentary 1st half: Hope this match is as exciting as a box of frogs. Working harder than a blind dog in a butcher’s shop. Sharper than a surgeon’s blade. This guy can drop a pint of beer into a shot glass. Like a gazelle getting tracked down by a cheetah. And this hit is 1.21 Gigawatts of power and Robin Hood precision (didn’t quite catch that last part) (Füllkrug’s goal); and more: cool as a bomb disposal expert.
  9. Satisfying finale for The Bad Batch concluding the show's best season.
  10. If he had actually shoved with a hand sure, but he just used his shoulder. And he had his eyes on the ball, too. Happens constantly in a match, rarely called.
  11. That is the softest foul I've seen in a while. Any other place on the pitch that is not given. PGMOL strikes again. And Chelsea were working so hard to allow Spurs to catch up to Villa.
  12. Today's last second tie was more like Jon Snow at the Battle of the Bastards taking a full volley of arrows.
  13. I think Ochiba realized Ishido is just a brute who would do anything to get his way. Mariko outmaneuvers him, and while publicly he acknowledges that she was free to leave, he sends Shinobi after her. Obviously no one would openly accuse him of this, but everyone with a brain knew it was him. So considering her own conversation with Mariko that eventually came to a head about protecting her son's life, Ochiba concluded that being allied with Ishido was not in the best interest of her son. Her care for her son outweighed any personal hatred of Toranaga. (of course, Toranaga could just as easily dispose of her and her son, but he is subtle not like Ishido) Some of Ochiba's change in attitude towards Ishido is more subtle, like Mariko's poem about a leafless branch, which Yabushige, a man trained in poetry called stupid, while Ishigo, who has more humbler beginnings, praised it. I think there was a moment that Ochiba looked like she was internally laughing at Ishido.
  14. Best to save them for a quick counteroffensive where they help punch through enemy lines.
  15. Wasn't Carlot told to leave town or die in the trilogy? The land where Red Country takes place is certainly painted as a frontier land, where plenty of people who want a fresh start or to hide can end up. So to me it makes sense for such characters to show up there. And I'm not sure if that land is bigger than the American Midwest. Logen is the most appropriate western trope for drifter with a dark past comes into town.
  16. I completed the main story in Horizon Forbidden West and now I've started the Burning Shores DLC story. I'm 63 hours in the game. At one point I got bored with all the side quests and just shot for finishing the main story. I found the last act of the main story less challenging than in HZD.
  17. Imo, the show did a good enough showing that John loved Mariko. OTOH it's less clear how much Mariko loved John, because she certainly didn't put their love ahead of duty or even her desire to die.
  18. You spoke too soon. It's about to become a 2 team title race thanks to Liverpool's inability to score.
  19. Mariko has a son. But my take on the falcon release scene is that Toranaga has metaphorically freed Mariko of any obligations and service. The falcon is now free to live its life normally, no longer on the arm of the puppet master.
