  1. Great win for the Lions. Great mix of young talent, Goff redemption, and Dan Campbell. I think I'm on that bandwagon for my NFC team this year.
  2. Are we talking about Dynasty or Keeper? Are we drafting Friday? Or next week?
  3. Took Kelce tonight in a twelve team 1 keeper league. Can't keep anyone from the first three rounds and your keeper is one round higher the second year, and automatically 3rd round if you keep him twice. So ADP ends up being off by about 2 spots by the middle of the first, and about 4 by the turn. I had Rhamondre for a 6th or 7th, picking out of the 9 spot. Nick Chubb went one pick before mine, so I went with Amon-Ra 10th. Not sure if I like that pick or not, but I just couldn't pull the trigger on Pollard or Henry at that price, and like St Brown better than Adams or AJ Brown, who went before my next pick. (Chase, J Wilson, Jacobs, Burrow, and Olave were all kept btw). Full PPR. Coming back around I took Kelce 15th overall , and figured I'd just scramble week 1. Grabbed Okonkwo fairly late to start this week. I think it was the right call. Got Metcalf and Breece Hall as follow ups, so I ended up reaching a round I think on Geno (8th) to make the stack, and took Conner at a good price, though I have great fears for AZ's offense. I figure one I get past the first week or two, if Kelce and Hall start trending up I should be a very strong team. Thoughts?
  4. Just do it Kal. Think of the joy you can have crushing my soul.
  5. Well that escalated! That itself shouldn't be a huge deal. Wardrobe costs ought not break either of you. Apart from your parenthetical there, seems like a very minor problem with a very simple fix. Though the 'for example' makes me wonder. From what I've seen you have a very solid sense of how to present yourself well. Or maybe it's all a strong versus secure ego question on his part. I'm not attempting to speak for Chats here, but it may very well depend on just what sort of Greek loving.
  6. I'm accepting this as tacit admission of the talent of the White Harbor Bakers. It was a bit of fun, but also a bit of a pain in the ass to remember to pick all the games every week. We'll always have Cincy. Or maybe we're on to Cincy, I forget sometimes.
  7. I'd prefer Thursday, but if Friday is the day, I'll make it work. If I understand the penalties properly, go ahead and drop Jordan Mason for 1 dollar for 3 years, and Dalton Schultz (who I bid 5 for, for $2 dollars this year only?) If Schultz is more than that as a penalty I'll just roll with him. This is a one TE league, right? Everyone else seems like reasonable value still, considering potential penalties.
  8. What percentage of the Whitmer plot was convicted, and what percentage was government paycheck people? A bunch of feds can convince a few mentally limited people to do just about anything. Follow the cash flow
  9. There were pros and cons to buying gin and oranges.
  10. So it looks like we need at least 1-3 new owners in Dynasty if thats going to stay viable. Any volunteers?
  11. The best bang since the Big One.
  12. Was a lovely night for golf. Bit surprised the forecast for Monday/Tuesday is around 90F but still in the range of normal outcomes. Looks no rain for the holiday weekend here. I fucking love weather.
  13. On the bright side, Biden seems to have said that we re going to give a shit ton of money to pharma companies so that everyone can get fresh vaccinations for the disease we funded the development of. I ve never actually read either the RNC or DNC platforms in detail but I doubt either of them ran on that!
  14. Pretty much none of the Taylor to Miami noise made any sense. Miami wasn't going to send assets to pay an injured Taylor more than they offered to free agent Dalvin Cook.
  15. @Tywin et al. That sort of addresses my questions. Except without anything actionable. If you're trying to freeze me out I get it. Small dick energy is also a thing.
  16. I could take the spot but I have another auction going at almost the same time. Remind me before Monday if you still need me. 2 auctions definitely cuts into my chugging box wine time though.
  17. From what I remember, the movies shat on Faramir even more than Denethor. Denethor was corrupted via palantir in both versions, but Faramir did the right things in the original text because they were right. Want to see the next Dune movie, not going to get bunched up if its 3 or 8 months from now. I can't say I blame the studio if they're pushing it back a bit since supply of new films is decreasing, if they think the strike will mean nearly no competition.
  18. Whats the group ID and password again? I don't seem to have an auto renewal option...
  19. Is this league going, or just gone? I think we need two new managers. Nothing to promise but toil tears sweat and the occasional triumph.
  20. Eris seems like a squib. I d much rather have the sniffles than risk myocarditis, glioblastoma, clotting issues, or straight up sudden death.
  21. Been having some intestinal distress the last few days. So staying away from the fizzy stuff to see if less gas makes it better. Not sure, but drinking John Daleys instead did help me shoot my low round ever at my home course today.
  22. So do we need to replace Jace at this point? IIRC, she missed the draft last year and had no multi-year contracts, at least from her autopicks. (Maybe some players on multiple year deals previous, I don't remember. ) But we should probably look around for another player.
  23. In. Currently have drafts the evenings of August 22 and 31, and September 4, 5, and 6, if that helps. All Eastern time early evening. Could possibly double up on the 4th with a late enough start time, but that's also an auction draft. (The others are in person, or I'm the commish.) Tried doing two auctions simultaneously a couple years back, don't recommend!
  24. Why? What about them seem promising? Whitmer was so weak as governor that the FBI had to fake a kidnapping to buffer her up. And Warnock smashed it Georgia so well that it took two entirely fair elections to get him through. I'm assuming that coffee is at least cheaper than a Hunter painting.
  25. Are you being sarcastic? I'm assuming you are, but maybe... My point was that prosperity is better for the environment than poverty. Hierarchy of needs in a surplus economy. So let's incentive prosperity. I guess it depends on whether you're looking out for the masses or the elites though.
