Scottish independence part da

Conservative support in Scotland began declining sharply from 1959 onwards, with the end of Empire, and the decline in religious voting. They went from having 7 out of 15 Glasgow seats in 1955 to just 2 in 1970.

True, and the rise of the SNP from the 1960s probably played a role too. However, in 1970 the Tories having two seats in Glasgow was regarded as a historically poor performance. Today the idea of the Tories having any seats in Glasgow boggles the mind.

Well naturally they should rejoin the Crown of Norway and perhaps following on from the precedent set by the Russian Federation seize the Isle of Man and drag that back in too.

The implications of all this for Hen Ogledd are intriguing...

Did Iceman seriously just threaten one of the most powerful emerging nations in the history of the world? Bwahaha.

But listen, kroner currency union, sound good?

Split from the UK and join Norway! :commie: Sarcasm, If only..

I live in a wealthy (from oil money), conservative town in the northeast of Scotland, I'm 18, and I'm completely undecided which way to vote. Halp?

Vote no. Don't keep all that oil money to yourselves, spread it around.

They do have a list MSP in Glasgow (in fact she's the Scottish party leader).

Threaten? Not at all. Just expressing our desire to listen to the concern of the population of some small, rather insignificant* islands north (and west) of the British Islands.

*Like really insignificant, barely room for one or two Welsh harems of sheep, and some territorial waters controlling a reservoir of a mere handful of barrels of oil.
