Alys Karstark and house Thenn in tWoW?

Gonna have to see what happens with Harrion. He's been all over the place, and is an extremely minor character, but he's still alive so a small part of me has to believe that he has a role to play; regardless of how small.

of if Harion is in Maidenpool, that could pose a problem for house Thenn. who would the Karstark men rally to Harrion or to the Thenns? thoughts

Well, Harrion was in Maidenpool when Lord Tarly was there. As we now know, Tarly is in KL with Mace. The question is, where did the prisoners go? Harrion, being highborn, may have been escorted with Tarly's retinue to KL. I'm not sure if that's a good thing, because he's right in the rat's nest if House Karstark (primarily Alys and Thenn) does something against the Boltons whom hold the king's favor in the North currently.

I like your thinking. And obviously Arnolf will have made less than zero attempt to ransom him

Exactly. He's probably doing all he can to have him executed, thinking that he'll take control of Karhold after Harrion gets the axe.

I think Alys being upset by Jon's stabbing may spur the Thenns into some sort of retaliation. It wouldn't surprise me if the watch and the wildlings at CB started fighting. Tormund may also get in on the action there as well. It might not start peacefully, but hopefully for Alys, the marriage will become peaceful once the stabbing is settled.

Harrion will be released by the BwoB along with the great jon and the rest somewhere between maidenpool and kl

Jaime has already ordered they should be moved and they are just too tempting a target for the brotherhood to ignore (especially if they have a few Freys in the escort)

I don't think we'll ever have a clear answer. Once the Others invade, most political plots are gonna go down the crapper. And I don't think GRRM's gonna write a giant epilogue. I expect a lot of loose ends at the end of the series.

My worst fear is to have to scroll through pages and pages of so spake martins, which I have a hard time remembering even now, to figure out how lots of things end.

If Harrion survives, Alys will step back from the rule of Karhold. Maybe House Thenn gains control over the Dreadfort when Roose and Ramsay die.

Hopefully the Dreadfort and House Bolton become the Reyne's of the North. Wiped out because of their insubordination. There's no (direct) heir past Ramsey, afaik.

IDK, I've always wondered if Tarly didn't have plans for Harrion, maybe marry him to one of his daughters and then back his claim to the North after Bolton, Stannis and the Freys get done killing each other, with the backing of Highgarden of course. At the very least the Kartstarks are one of the most powerful houses in the North, marrying his daughter to the heir seems like it would be a good match.
