Crazy Idea-Daario is Euron son.

realistically, the only secret targ id buy, is Varys

Tyrion is almost certainly a "secret Targaryen". GRRM left too many hints for it to be not so, unless GRRM was trolling his readers, which seems beneath him. It seems a lot of readers hate this theory and are in deep denial about its probable truth. That's too bad, because it's coming.

Embrace it! It's not so bad. It will allow Tyrion to be a dragonrider with the other two Targaryen heads of the dragon - Jon and Dany.

I also strongly suspect that Darkstar Dayne is also a secret Targaryen or Blackfyre and is Doran's real ace in he hole. (That's why he's so "dangerous" and why Oberyn wanted him killed.)

Lies.

Jaime is AA and secret Targaryen, it is known. Tyrion is a true son of Tywin.

Him being Euron's son is much more credibe than he being teleporting Euron.

They both have one thing in common: they're full of shit, and both of them use bullshitting to impress other people.

But why any connection between the two of them at all? Seriously, it's almost as if someone, some day, pulled names of some characters in a hat, randomly drew two of them and said: "X=Y, prove me wrong". Daario is Euron or Benjen, Howland Reed is the High Septon, and, if I remember correctly, Bran is Willas Tyrell, although that last one might have been just a parody. I think.

It stems from Euron being so sure he has Dany in his backpocket. Also GRRM has used x=y many times (and baby switches), seems likely we haven't seen the last of them.

Daario is no more that a Tyroshi sellsword. He is, at best, a tertiary character and it is nothing more than wishiful thinking on the part of certain fans to elevate him to more than that.

I'd be perfectly fine with Daario only being a Tyroshi sellsword. Not everyone is someone hidden (although he most definitely is Azor Ahai Reborn).

No, it's not like that it all. It is more like you don't remember the details of the story very well, and therefore wonder why anyone sees any resemblance between The Viking With The Eyepatch, and The Dude Who Dresses Like A Clown.

The reason people (rightly or wrongly) suspect Daario is Euron, is because they have noticed certain details which you presumably have forgotten:

[1] Both have bright blue eyes, or (in Euron's case) one bright blue eye, the other being hidden.

[2] Both have eyes that appear to change color depending on the light or the color of his hair.

[3] Neither are young men. Euron is older than Victarion, whose hair is starting to grey; and Daario claims that the days he has lived are as numberless as the stars in the sky.

[4] Both have beard and full head of hair.

[5] Otherwise both have skin that is smooth, hairless, and pale.

[6] Both are very comely.

[7] Both boast of having slain countless men and had sex with countless women.

[8] Euron is a seaman, whereas Daario has (unexplained) salt stains on his leather boots, when Dany first meets him.

[9] Both operate in the South coast of Essos.

[10] Both like cutting out tongues.

[11] Both picked up 12 new companions after the Kingsmoot and the Shield Islands conquest.

[12] Both want Dany.

[13] Euron is hinted to be well endowed and virile. Daario is quite the porn-star in bed with Dany.

[14] Both are unpredictable, chaotic, vicious and bloodthirsty.

[15] Both are associated with the words "storm" and "crow".

[16] Both have a tendency to smile alot.

[17] Both are prominently introduced to the story, only to go absent for extended periods.

And I'm sure I've forgotten some things.

Well now I have to go back and re-read the books. Again. Because I thought for sure people were just starting to get crazy and suggest random theories because we've been book-deprived for so long.

Oddly enough, though. I hate Daario. LOVE Euron.

Thank you for the comprehensive list. Now I can comfortably stand by my theory of names randomly pulled out of a hat. ("Both want Dany"? Why not "both breathe air", that's just as unique distinctive feature.)

WTF is a "just daario"?

Anyhow, GRRM himself says that there is more to Daario than meets the eye. Which does not necessarily prove he is Euron. But I would say it proves that there is more to him than what we perceive as "just daario".

*Enter Hagrid*

No, just Daario. you are Euron. Although you may be his son, or perhaps Rhaegar Targaryan, Oberyn Martell or Maester Luwin.

On topic, I do think that Daario is 'just Daario'. When George said there was more to him than met the eye, I took that as meaning he (as one could guess) had an ulterior motive in staying loyal to Dany. My biggest problem with the Daario- Euron connections is that, if Daario is Euron/ Euron's son, why would Victarion need to travel all of the way across the Narrow Sea to claim her?

Well, opposite question: why Euron didn't acquire her himself? Instead of travelling to Pyke?

Basically: Even if Euron isn't Daario, why would he need Victarion to ...?

I guess my answer to this would be that he had to work on claiming/ consolidating his rule as king, although you are right that he couold have sent the FM a bit later had he wanted to claim Dany first.

Even so, the fact remains that from the position he was when he sent Victarion, sending him makes sense only if he doesn't already have allies in Meereen. After all, why send your biggest military advantage when you have/ are someone close to Dany already? He didn't need to send Vic away for political reasons, as he had not only won over not only the neutral Ironborn, but also a few of Vic's own men, if I remember correctly.

If the list had contained only that one single point, then perhaps this would have been a somewhat fair rebuttal.

Perhaps. I'm not sure it's entirely true that EVERYONE wants Dany in the way that Euron and Daario do. If I had argued that Euron and Barristan both want Dany, you're counterpoint would be stronger.

You're missing the point completely. I'm not trying to convince you that Euron isn't Daario. I'm trying to let you know that you failed to convince me (actually, you failed even to make me wonder whether that's possible). If you still think that your evidence is compelling - fine, no skin of my nose, keep telling yourself that.

I thought we were trying to communicate - some kind of discussion. If that is not the case, then my comments shall be addressed to others in future.
