Tchzaelous
Lord Commanders have a terribly great track record at not dying. If I were Edd, I'd be tossing that cloak Jon gave me onto some other Stooge lol.
Karmarni
It depends on what Jon does. Does he stay in Winterfell, whether or not by choice, or dies he return to the Wall? If he goes back, then no, Ed won't make it. If Jon doesn't return, then we still need someone whom viewers can identify at the Wall, thereby cueing an upgrade for Edd's character. Sansa's Hairnet
I feel like he will die when the Wall falls, because that's just the kind of luck a character like Dolorous Edd would have -- Lord Commander of the Night's Watch when the Wall comes down. Sounds like something he would joke about.

Sansa's Hairnet
I like to imagine it literally tumbling down. Realistically I don't know how that would work, but it's a show with ice zombies and dragons, so realism can take a back seat.
King Edd of House Tollet
I think Edd has to survive because I believe the Night Watch is pivotal to the endgame, and since Jon is at Winterfell and Sam in the South, only Edd remains as a well-knonw character there
Chib
I think he won't die this season. lol
Black Prince
He should be fine. The only threat to the NW now are the White Walkers, and it is surely too soon for them to be taking out the Watch with 13-odd episodes left to go.
nymeria_2321
I'd he does die I'm betting it won't be soon. Like someone else said he's the last person around that viewers can identify in the NW. Even if Jon heads back North to fight the WW he won't do it as part of the NW but alongside it. I think if he does die it will be in a season or 2 during THE epic WW battle. tormond
It looks bleak, i will not deny it. Maybe he'll survive the episode and get killed next season. I like Edd, he and tormund are jons right and left hand, but that wall is coming down and Edd is right there
dinner
For the story about the war with the others to advance the wall has to fall and the writers have already removed all of the main characters (other than Bran) from the immediate vacinity of the wall. My guess is most of the characters left in the Night's Watch aren't long for this world.
Cato.the.Elder
I would say episode 10 will be mostly about Bran/Tower of Joy revelation and King's Landing, and we won't see the Wall, at least not something as important as it falling (unless it is the last scene of the season, but I don't think so. My bet is on Jon being proclaimed King in Winterfell and Dany sailing West).
Lord Lannister
I doubt Edd will play a major role in the series save as the token Night's Watch guy that's just around to nod for the sake of a consensus while the important characters are making decisions. Lady Lovisa
I think we are running out of good guys to kill for Season 8, so it is very likely that he makes it through to Season 8.
RetconKillah
Not likely but I hope Jon/Sansa/ruler of the North gives him Last Heart or another one of these newly vacant castles and lands.
GeorgeIAF
Given Edd's luck, he will be remembered as being the Lord Commander that during his tenure the Wall crumbled down ... But it will be ironic if Edd of all people makes it to the end of ASOIAF.

Tells you his fate. But I guess he is safe for this season. My bet is, that the night's watch - the fifty men left there actually - will be completly destroyed when the night falls. Afterwards they will make a new watch and Jon will be back on duty. Or they make a girl's watch this time and it's Danys time. feminism rules on GoT lately.
