Eerie green light illuminates interior. Old Nan knitting besides bed. Click click click. Sansa sitting upright in bed. Naked. Bloody sheets between her legs. Sansa with three pairs of six teats descending her chest. Each older than the next, wrinkled and grey haired. The bloody menstrual stain on the sheet begins to coagulate. Blood takes form of a dwarfed minstrel with harp. It begins to sing and dances into the fireplace. Hound stands in corner watching. Old Nan knits. thank you for sharing your nightmare. I was going to bed early tonight.. I suppose I shan't.

Nathan Stark
Jeyne Poole. Ramsay Snow. And whatever it was he got her to do with his dogs. That scene was more disturbing than anything I read up to that point.
Foot_Of_The_King
So are we taking about most disturbing, scariest, or what??
Foot_Of_The_King
Arya’s escape from the Red Keep in GOT. Not the most terrifying but this chapter always has me on the edge of my seat. It has Syrio’s last stand and Arya’s first step onto a painful and violent journey. Most Terrifying - House of the Undying (the end specifically) - Hound in Sansa’s room - Bran’s last chapter in Dance (creepy vibe) - Brienne’s last chapter in Feast - Birth of the Shadow Baby - Reek That’s a few off the top of my head. Skahaz mo Kandaq
Sometimes it's a story within the story. The education of an unsullied from boy to soldier.
The Lord of the Crossing
In one of the last chapters of the first novel, Mirri Maaz Duur called on dark spirits and summoned them inside Drogo's tent. She was using tricks and illusions or they were real. It is scary if you believe it was real. It means black magic and evil spirits exist.

That was pretty darn scary, especially the line "Mirri Maz Duur was dancing, and not alone." Plus, afterwards we learn the result of the spell.
