Wow, the WEC delivered tonight! The free prelims were absolutely amazing as well. He may have lost a decision, but "The Korean Zombie" won some fans tonight, I'm sure.

The Korean Zombie was robbed!

Also, best and most fitting nickname of all time! Everyone else should just stop using them!

Jokes aside, I'm not gonna knock a guy who chooses to have kids with a porn star any more than I'll knock a chick whole can make her duckets off of college dormrooms putting down $40 a pop for one of her movies. At least she ain't trolling the clubs looking for the next sugardaddy.

But what I will jump all over Tito for is being a 220 lb trained wrestler who's competed in MMA takin the chops to a chick who's maybe a buck o-nine while sporting a soaking wet North-Face jacket. I wanna hear his side of the story before I judge, but if he truly beat her, he deserves to be beaten and raped in jail.

Yeah, and its possible the whole event transpired because Jenna was jonesing for oxy like Tito and his lawyer have claimed. I don't think anyone in the thread is pre judging anything. Just having a little fun with some one liners.

If it does turn out Tito is a woman beater, then I'll definitaly be even less of a fan.

I get what you guys are saying. And it's kinda what I'm saying. There are alot of funny things to make light of the situation about. Between the two of them, they both could be full of shit. But it'll be hard for me see Tito in the same light if he did this. It's one of those situations that it's hard to have a clear cut opinion on bc there's no way to get the whole story as an outsider. But the cops say she was bruised up pretty bad.

Little late to the ball, but WEC was a great card, a welcome respite form some of the lackluster offerings of late. I'm surprised that Rogan didn't know who the Korean Zombie is. I know he's familiar with Japanese MMA, but apparently he never gave Sengoku any attention. I sure as heckfire didn't forget the guy named "the Korean Zombie."

Anyway, given that Zuffa basically scrubbed away most of the WEC branding from the PPV, does anyone think that it's inevitable that the WEC gets absorbed into the UFC proper, taking in the Bantam and Featherweight divisions and merging the two lightweights? They already did it to the redundant heavier weight classes. As the sport grows, the lighter weight divisions thicken out, and the public learns to appreciate the lightest classes, It wasn't very long ago that the UFC didn't even have a lightweight division, and now BJ Penn is one of their biggest stars. I imagine that somewhere down the line we'll have a UFC Bantamweight champ.

As far as the WEC lightweights, Henderson has already made a case for jumping into the deeper waters of the UFC. Why keep him in a separate tank when the UFC is so starved for contenders? If Zuffa doesn't care about building brand loyalty to the WEC, and becomes willing to start trading fighters between the two promotions, why bother keeping them separate?

As I understand it, the Bushido events were just Pride events with lighter weight classes. I imagine an intermediate stage of the hypothetical WEC/UFC merge would go along those lines, with a series of events billed under the UFC banner that happen to feature lighter weight classes, until finally we have events that range from Heavyweight to Bantamweight. That would be pretty cool. A larger pool of fighters to select from would make each individual UFC card stronger. If there is going to be a division between the UFC and a side league, let it be purely skill based, with whatever the WEC becomes turning into a minor league of newcomers, and the UFC becoming the big show for all weight classes.

Anyone think any of this is at all possible?

As I understand it the reason for the split is because VS was looking for MMA, but because the UFC had contractual obligations to SPIKE, Zuffa needed a different brand to put fights on VS. If VS goes under then I definetly could see WEC being folded into the UFC. The other situation that might lead to that is if UFC starts a UFC channel and moves all their programming there, which would be epic.
