gryphon strike
Umm got a couple of PMs from Ser Cam after the Con to try to organise dinner (he couldn't make it). He mentioned going away somewhere but I thought that was only for a week or two. And also he has to attend cricket meetings. Ha. Training and team selection - I know what goes on and it involves slabs of Carlton Draught, or, if on special, Little Creatures. And maybe stop going to snotty venues?Yeah people make assumptions and then get annoyed when those assumptions are wrong?Go figure.I have this terrible tendency to actually stop and ask what the routine is. Most places it is pretty obvious from signs but some places are big enough to get lost in!Slight exageration but not by much.
Luce_Magoose
To clarify - the snotty venues advice was in reference to alcohol being expensive. I'm not sure if I made that much sense. Sure you might have to pay $9.50 for a beer in some places but at the same time there are great venues where you can get them very cheaply. Luce_Magoose
I'm still confused too, but put it down to my brain shutting down. Do any of the other states NOT get hayfever? I'll move there. Today.
Ski the Swift
Unfortunately I get the hayfever pretty bad, so I'd steer clear of NSW. I'm sure Queensland wouldn't get much with all it's glorious weather.

It will ruin your standup act.Did everyone know that Neal is going to do a standup routine for us??Yeah, can't wait for that. Neal was on fire in chat the other night (can't remember the exact words but anyway):Neal: By the end of Movember everyone looks like either 70s cricketers or 70s porn stars Pax: What's the difference?Neal: More balls in porn?BTW, Ser Cam isn't the only one who's gone missing lately. Where's OLP? Skyrazer? Saurian?ETA: Ah, just saw Saurian in another thread, but haven't seen the other two for ages.

Luce_Magoose
I hope that it is nothing serious but I agree that you can never be too cautious. Good on you GS for getting it checked out.People too often dismiss the idea of going to doctor/ hospital because they think they'll just get turned away or the symptoms will pass. brook
My mum once complained through every step of me getting her to hospital (with what turned out to have been an ulcer that burst and left a hole in her stomach lining) because 'it is just wind'. Apparently also I put everything I had into convincing the paramadics rushing me to hospital after an accident that I was fine and any worries about my blood pressure crashing were just because I was cold so they should drop me back home.I'm not entirely sure if it is stubborness or stupidity that runs in my family
