i heard a nice one today. a friend told me that walder frey will conspire with cat to kill talisa! :P

the same friend thought that sansa should leave with sandor, and eventually marry him

and of course everyone believes that dany and jon are meant for each other!

oh, and someone else said that somehow mance will die , and jon will rise among the wildlings, and he will unite them with the night's watch to fight the white walkers together

A friend of mine is convinced that Talisa is a Lannister spy, because they showed her writing a letter and joking with Robb about being a spy, in the same episode where Arya was reading that letter from Tywin's desk detailing Robb's troop movements.

That actually makes enough sense (as potential foreshadowing) that he has me genuinely wondering... could that be a twist they're planning for the TV show?

He also told me, "you know.. I think Jaqen might be Arya's dancing master?". I got a good chuckle out of that.

My BF theorized that the letter came from Roose Bolton. He based his theory on the fact that "if that was a bond movie, that guy would be a russian villain".

He's not that far off.

This Unsullied forum is very interesting:

Most of them are really quite clever. They have for example almost taken for granted that Robb will die soon, as a result of his romance with, and marriage to, Talisa.

I like the guy that's referring to a wight Sam as UnSam. Totally a book reader messing with them

My dad thinks that Talisa will kill Robb and then Cat will kill her and take over the northern army :frown5:

He also said that Tyrion will end up in the nights watch and that Dany will never get to Westeros :drunk: ... He said he is torn between Arya and Jon to get the iron throne.

Oh, he also said that "Someone is hiding in the tree" When Luwin died.. I was in shock!

My mother is convinced that Roose is the one guy who will stay loyal to Robb because it's too obvious for a guy who looks like that, speaks like that, lives at the Dreadfort and suggests that Robb should let him flay guys because they "aren't in the north" to be a traitor.

Along similar lines, I know people who are happy because Dany is 'finally' going to Westeros...

To be fair, alot of book readers were thinking that after book three.

As for a theory, on Otaku Assemble, Larry theorized that the White Walkers were descended from the First Men. Granted he comes from a place that alot of TV viewers are stuck in seeing the Wights and the Others as one and the same. I could say that he may be partially correct if you assume that most of those Wights are from the corpses Northerners or Wildings. He could also be close to another strongly-held theory if you displace First Men for Children of the Forest.

Wow, this forum is very fun to read. People are actually discussing the series and not just complaining how terrible and ruined everything is.

Uh yeah because they don't know how much better it could have been... :P

Also, you'll notice how some people do object to the writing, for example many are confused as to why Winterfell burned, they don't get why Sansa refused the Hound's offer, they think Talissa is cliche, they think Cat is stupider than she really deserves, etc.

I enjoy reading that forum but two things slightly frustrate me about it; the obvious bookwalkers, and those who criticize plots or characters that I know were altered for the worse (thinking, "no guys that's not GRRM's fault!" hehe).

hey! i think they might be the first men based on how they look. they just look old to me. is there anything on what they really are that i've missed?

anyway, back to the topic:

my boyfriend thinks talisa is a spy and that mance is benjen. he keeps saying "benjen's been missing and they keep saying that mance used to be a crow." he also doesn't understand the whole faceless man thing and says that jaqen changed his face and name because arya told him to kill himself and jaqen had to honor his word. didn't the series talk about faceless men already?

Imagine if they had him talking like he does in the books! Love the theory

Well they were around before the First Men arrived in Westeros. It's more likely that they're related to the Children in some way.

As far as book theories, a friend of mine who is just now starting DWD thinks that the reason The Blackfish never married is because he was in love with his brother Hoster's wife, Minisa, and that's why he favors Catelyn over Lysa and Edmure. He insists it's because Catelyn looks the most like her mother.

HBOGoT Theories:

Gendry will escort Arya to Robb.

Robb will die.

Margery is not innocent....well, hello?

Littlefinger really loves Catelyn.

Littlefinger recognized Arya.

Stannis will have more "shadow-y whatever they are-s," and many deaths will result.

Catelyn will be betrothed/forced to marry a Northern Lord to shore up an alliance for Robb. But, she will die by suicide.

Melisandre is E-V-I-L.

Jon will become the Hand equivalent to The King Beyond The Wall.

Maester Lewin is still alive because viewers didn't see him die.

Theon will return to "the place where he felt up his sister."

Cercei and Jaime will never see each other again.

Stannis will defeat Robb. And Robb will die. Basically, everyone believes Robb will die, though the method varies.

None of the Stark children will see each other again. And they will die. (I'm sensing a theme...)

Joffrey will Kill Cercei.

Cercei will kill Joffrey, and then herself.

Seriously, I almost wish I hadn't read the books, but then I wouldn't have so much fun hearing these theories, amiright?

My sister thinks that Robb's bannermen will kill Talisa and he'll go apeshit on them with his wolf.

She also thinks Sam didn't get attacked because he is a chosen leader for the Others...

EVERY ONE of my non-reader friends haven't said anything about Davos after the big explosion at Blackwater! Nobody cares about Davos!! :ack:

I was with a few non-readers friends and heard a couple of pretty funny stuff :stunned:

Melisandre is a spy from Cercei's and will destroy Stannis

Melisandre was in a magic boat during Blackwater and it was her that killed Davos

Jon will join the wildlings and return to the wall to kill LC Mormont

Robb will not die but he'll kill Cat after Cat tries to kill Talisa

Mance Rider is Benjen Stark and he will kill Jon because Jon will refuse to join him

The Other will turn back to kill Sam but Ghost will save him

Pretty much Ghost will save everyone because the Others and the WW are afraid of wolfs and that's why they exist in GoT. Because of that all Stark brothers will reunite and fight the Others with their wolfs
