"Because they aren't hot enough/ugly enough" isn't a sufficient answer--we're talking about acting skill, not arbitrary things that cannot be changed or controlled.If you want to provide an in-depth explanation, feel free to do so, but it is in no way required to validate your opinion. kevin1989 Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 5 random porn actors for me, they only their because they can do nude scenes easily.In my opinion there isn't one weak link in the show, they all play what is written in the scrips, maybe different from the books but that's not their fault (even if many fans things it is).And how can somebody say natalia Tena as one of the weakest? StannisandDaeny Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 Kit Harington really bothers me, because he makes Jon look like an absolute wimp who's been sodomized with an Other's ice blade in literally every scene.I was very disappointed with Melisandre, too, but this also has a lot to do with the writing, more than it has to do with Carice.Shae's scenes with Tyrion are the only scenes that make me cringe, again may be more because of the writing than the acting though. She plays the dumb whore well enough. People giving Emilia Clarke shit for her acting should really open their eyes. She's one of the few actors on the show who actually takes her role seriously enough to read the books and stay with her character in the books as the show progresses.'Black Lorren' (more like Bald Lorren) seems somewhat overdone (his voice), at least in the scene where he brings Rodrik into the castle. The rest is good.The guy playing Ser Rodrik is constantly making retarded faces in the background, especially in Season 1, which bothered me a little bit. Other than that and looking utterly ridiculous, he plays the role well though.These are the most negative things I can say, and I'm not even saying any of these actors are really bad. He's tall, yeah, but not monstrous big. Whoever played The Mountain in Season 1 got it right --- and with that facial expression alone... will make Hot Pie piss his pants all over again. Tirilei Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 I don't think any of the main actors are bad, and certainly not Emilia Clarke or Kit Harington, who are both theater trained. Actually, I think they are both excellent. If I had to say who of the actors playing main characters has some room for improving acting skills, I would have to say Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo. As much as I like the guy, his acting is about as good as that of Arnold Schwarzenegger, so he keeps getting parts for his body shape, like the Conan role he did after Game of Thrones.
