[SPOILERS] So about Ros...

She was a cynically created character and her

death was cynical and gratuitous. Smacked a bit

of desperation to. We already know Joffrey is a

psycho and Littlefinger is ruthless.

I don't feel bad that a empty character is off for good.

But as with the Loros scene last week I don't respect

the way they chose to do it. Throwing in a glimpse of

torture porn at the end of a muddled episode was a

series low point.

Just when I thought I wasn't going to be surprised by any other death, this one comes.

I actually liked Ros. I didn't think she was crappy just because she doesn't exist in the books. She was great in season 2.

The only thing I'm thankful for is for reminding me how much I want to see Joffrey die already.

Poor Ros. No matter what you thought of her character she didn't deserve that. Someone on here said her death was treated as an afterthought and that makes sense because no one is going to make a fuss over her death. It just shows how cheap life is in Westeros, especially if you're low born.

Remember that in the show everyone thought that Ros was Tyrion's lover, not Shae. So there is now the motivation and implication that Joffrey killed Tyrion's lover. I wonder if this will be mentioned in the next episode. This death will surely bring about the scene where Tywin lays the smackdown on Joffrey. I've been waiting patiently for this scene for YEARS. It's one of my favorites in the books and will surely be one of my favorites on the show. Tywin vs. Joffrey...yessss!!!

THIS. I am inclined to believe they had good reason for using Ros for several reasons. Firstly, she was a very good exposition tool in the first two seasons, this season she has become a much more active pawn in the game rather than just a simple storytelling tool. She was an invented character meant to be disposable from the start yet useful even in that disposal. By eliminating her this way, by Joffrey, we see something much more interesting brewing than just more example of his sadism which viewers are already convinced of. We get to see what happens when Grandpa finds out and has to deal with this because of course Cersei is going to tell him this was Tyrion's whore lover and maybe Tyrion will even play it up to get the scent off of Shae and that will lead to Joffrey flipping out about his power in front of Tywin. I am very curious to see how Tywin will deal with a much nastier, much more dangerous Joffrey than existed in the books.

In fear of getting a lot of angry responses, what if D&D are gonna go with UnRoss instead of UnCat in the last episode? :D

That would be even more horrible than UnCat in the first place. :( I think we're seeing the last of Ros but the fallout clues from her death are still pretty big and we'll find out next week.

Good point. There were a few characters that were a little too chummy -- and that will turn to ashes when it is revealed what happened.

That's debatable.

But, I would say it wasn't murder.

Then I'll rephrase my statement, Joffrey didn't kill Ned with his own hands, but by all looks of it, he was the one who did in Ros. Though it wouldn't surprise me if he had one of the Kingsguard do it and then Joff went back in to whack off to the dead body, since that's the type of freak they're really trying to push Joff has in the TV series. I thought he was a bit more normal in the books.

ha, the spoiler tags are too funny! Is she gone for good? You mean with half a dozen crossbow quarrels thru her head, heart and stomach? I'd say, unless Thoros trots into the room right quick--she's gone.

Come on. We all know that isn't the real Ros. That is Ros' twin sister from up yonder Winterfell way. Ros is really hiding out with Varys.;)

God I hope they don't pull a soap opera twin dealio. :ack:

This. I think that her death might even replace the incident with Penny and her brother. It seems logical for everyone to think that Tyrion would want to poison Joffrey if Joff had brutally murdered his lover. At least I hope that's how it will go. I hated that arc so much.

This was also a good callback to that scene between Joffrey and Margaery when she was talking about how thrilling it must be to pull the trigger and watch something on the other side of a room die. Obviously that's where Joffrey got the idea and he's been wanting to try it out for a while, so thank you Margaery. You inadvertantly got Roz killed.

eh Joffrey would have no problem with coming up with that himself. he probably saw Ros and thought"how do i want to kill you, hey look a crossbow"

I dunno if he ever got off to inflicting pain in the books. but i don't think it's a huge strecth.

Well I'm just glad they didn't include Margaery in that scene. Ugh!
