Ormond
There is a tradition in the "cozy" mystery genre of coming up with clever or funny titles. Some examples:Three by Sarah Shankman:I Still Miss My Man But My Aim Is Getting BetterFirst, Kill All the LawyersImpersonal AttractionsA series by Dixie Cash:Since You're Leaving Anyway, Take out the TrashMy Heart may be Broken, But my Hair still Looks Good.I Gave You My Heart But You Sold it Online.Don't Make Me Choose Between You and My Shoes.Curing the Blues with A New Pair of Shoes. Our Red Hot Romance is Leaving Me Blue. from Avery Aames' "Cheese shop mysteries":To Brie or not to BrieDays of Wine and RoquefortBy Mary Jane Maffini:Organize Your CorpsesDeath Loves a Messy DeskThe Busy Woman's Guide to MurderThe "Chet & Bernie" series by "Spencer Quinn" (pen name of Peter Abrahams) where Chet, Bernie's dog, is the narrator:Dog on ItThereby Hangs a TailTo Fetch a ThiefThe Dog Who Knew Too MuchA Fistful of CollarsThe Sound and the Furrythis is just a small sample -- obviously publishers think clever or punning titles are good for cozy mysteries. :)

Captain Sheepf*cker
I almost didn't read Thunderer because I didn't like the title and the cover is atrocious but Gears of the City had such a cool name and the cover was badass, I decided to give it a try - and it's one of my all time favorite series.. Datepalm
I was? All i've got this time round is that System of the World is the best Stephenson title, maybe followed by Anathem and Reamde (but those probably just because I like word play.) I don't know what people are seeing in Snow Crash or Cryptonomicon.ETA, gosh, I was.

Migey
A Clockwork Orange has a strange ring to it, which I like.I love The Lies of Locke Lamora. It just rolls off the tongue and sounds almost poetic. While we're on Scott Lynch, alot of his books (including the unreleased ones) have really nice titles (although he might still change them). The Mage and the Master Spy sounds really good for some reason.Havn't read it yet, but I love the sound of The Remains of the Day.Honorary mention of Kearney for Kings of Morning and This Forsaken Earth. deleted01
I like things that roll off the tongue easily, like The Lies of Locke Lamora and Darkly Dreaming Dexter (or Dexter is Delicious). The Crimson Petal and the White is one of my favourite titles, as well as being a fantastic book.

Spockydog
And Blue Skies From Pain, by Stina Leicht. The title is probably an homage to one of my favourite songs of all time, The Floyd's Wish You Were Here. Not only is it an amazing book, it has an absolutely beautiful cover.
