The perfect solution! and one I employ all the time So I'm listening to the Superbowl on our local ESPN affiliate and it goes off the air during halftime. If experience is any indicator they won't be back till well after the game is over. Because it's a local station in a small town, I bumped into their manager once and asked him why his station had such a hard time during big games. All day long during the blah-blah talk shows there's never a problem, but soon as there's something I really want to hear, BOOM! Gone. So the manager instead of telling why they have these problems said I should call call him next time this happens. Volunteer work basically.
