And Hakeem didn't?

Not in the same way LeBron tends to make teammates better because, quite simply, Hakeem wasn't a point guard like LeBron essentially is.

Not sure that's relevant. The Rockets offence under Tomjonavich was based entirely on post-entry, Hakeem draws double/triple, kicks out to shooter or hockey A, etc...and that's only half the game. On D he played a role that was much more impactful on teammates than LeBron (or any wing) does. Arguably more than anyone in history.

So the playoffs in the West are pretty much set:

Golden State vs Portland

Spurs vs Grizzlies

Rockets vs Thunder

Clippers vs Jazz

Does anyone think that in any of these confrontations, the first named team will not advance?

I wouldn't be shocked if the Thunder beat the Rockets. The Rockets are such an up or down team. They can beat anyone and anyone can beat them, more or less.

Rockets are a terrible matchup for the Thunder, because they can score too many points and OKC can't take advantage of their shitty defense. Thunder would have had a shot against LAC or Utah, or even SA, but zero shot against GS or Hou.

Agreed.

Edit; OT, but do people think there's enough for evidence to revise opinions of the Cousins deal/pairing with AD? They've got the 6th best NR since March 1st.
