  1. This game has so many strange mechanics. I tried dipping a weapon once and when I saw that fire lasts only 3 turns I did not try it again. However I have now discovered that you can just throw ONE bottle of toxin on the floor and all party members can dip all of their weapons(ranged to) and the weapon buff seems to last until a long rest unlike the 10 turns it does when you use it otherwise. Strength of the toxin used gets transfered. I found two places so far where I can poison to booze and NPCs die as soon as they drink from it. Things like that make the game really fun even if I would still prefer real time with pause in combat. But at least the throw berserker is amusing even in battle. I also lured NPCs to a secluded area near a chasm with a cat or music and shoved with a waiting character just to see if that works. With careful positioning you could probably clear a number of areas that way without aggroing others. Was just a test though and I reloaded again afterwards for a proper fight(and loot).
  2. Nobody is surprised that Putin had him killed. I know he does not care about human lives but killing the crew and letting debris rain down s a new level I feel. This is a message to others who might undermine his rule I guess. Edit: wrongly assumed that it was shot down over Moscow.
  3. I just watched it the local arthouse cinema and every piece of dialogue was incredible easy to understand. But I admit that is the only cinema I don't have problems with some of the dialogue Nolan movies. I have no idea what they do differently.
  4. Shove can be really annoying when an enemy uses it on your party members too. I tend to stay away from destroy loot though which means that I don't use it that often to kill.
  5. Having fun in the underdark. Personally I have not bothered with multiclassing so far. Game seems easy enough even on the highest difficulty. But I'm using a lot of consumables which makes things easier I guess. I did not enjoy the complicated ways you could build characters back when playing neverwinter nights 2 and just used pure classes even in that game. I'm kinda glad the this game seems simpler than NW2. That game had millions of feats. Still Mask of the Betrayer has the best story after Planescape Torment and it was a game well worth playing just because of that. Throwing is a weird mechanic it more or less adds extra attacks to my current barbarian(berserker) and they can deal a lot of damage. As a Gith my character excels at getting to the high ground which boosts throwing. I can't wait to hit high enough strength to throw normal sized humanoids.
  6. This game is not kind the loot everything players like me! I mean the highlight button does not even highlight most items and containers. I actually found some really good stuff in containers that were not highlighted... My character says "I wish I had a bag of holding" a lot and I couldn't agree more. There is a chest you can add to your inventory in the underdark that turns items into low weight trash until you take them out. I mostly use it for barrels in case I need some. Inventory management could be better but once I discovered that shift-click and ctrl-click work it became easier. Edit: On another note I just discovered that I can use unused characters to buff my party while I'm in camp. All buffs that stay until a long rest work... The min/maxer in me is in love. I now have a cleric, bard and mage hireling just for that reason...
  7. I restarted after getting a feel for the mechanics. Now playing a charismatic but stupid Githyanki barbarian and the mix of hard ass/clueless Githyanki and crazy agressive barbarian dialogue options is far more fun than the half-elf monk options I experienced during my first start. Githyanki got a lot of great abilities. I underestimated them before I leveled Lae'zel a bit but psionic jump and misty step make them incredible mobile. Mage hand is useful in a surprising number of situations. From activating levers to throwing shit. The armour profiancies are great too. I guess being ugly is a price worth paying. Edit: I also got Instrument Profiancy from a conversation and my Gith Berseker plays on the side now...
  8. The XP system is pretty conservative with peaceful approaches getting less on top of losing out on loot. Going peaceful and attacking afterwards is probably the best approach I guess. I have progressed a bit and I'm liking the system a bit more than in the Divinity: Original Sin games. That hulk style jumping seems to be the most effective way to move in most situations is a bit weird though.
  9. Probably smells wrong. I bought it and so far I'm enjoying it for the narrative and the reactivity. The combat system might take a while to like I suspect. Things take forever I feel.
  10. Anyone who disliked the combat in the Original Sin games around? I'm still unsure about this game because I did not enjoy the game mechanics of those games.
  11. I found the first two episodes of the Futurama reboot ago but the 3rd was just boring. A bitcoin episode? Really?
  12. That sucks. I managed to stack 9 months of free AppleTV(PS5+LG) but cancelled it immediately which worked well enough. But that is my usual approach for free subscriptions. Cancel immediately and you don't forget about it. Apple TV has enough good stuff for a month or two of subscription per year I feel.
  13. I think the stuff about the clone emperors which I believe they invented for the series is pretty good. I have not seen any episodes of season 2 though.
  14. Watching ancient stuff again and Home Improvement is currently on the menu. The first season was a bit rough but now I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
  15. The Atom Eve origin story special episode of Invincible was pretty good. Hearing the voice of the late Lance Reddick was a bittersweet but not unwelcome surprise.
  16. Samuel L Jackson had a contract and not making it would not have saved that much money? Just talking out of my ass.
  17. Well now that you DID Ken you have no excuse anymore.
  18. Obviously the soft lizard person bones are no match for superior human bullets.
  19. I'm paying through the Fromsoft "Soulslike" catalogue right now. Backwards. I have reached Bloodborne which sadly looks pretty shit on the PS5 imho. I enjoyed all of them although Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne felt far easier than Elden Ring. But I did not know how the games worked when I started Elden Ring as a lot of mechanics are rather unintuitive. The Demon's Souls remake looks great but you feel that the combat system has improved a lot since the original was released. I managed the defeat the tutorial boss in it. Sekiro is different and has far superior storytelling. Combat is too different to compare but I would say it is both more and less fun because trying different things is lots of fun in the other games and Sekiro focuses on one weapon and a rather limited number of abilities/tools which it does really well. Once you are in the flow Sekiro just feels awesome when you slaughter enemies. Edit: I did try the Dark Souls remaster first but that just looks bad to me. I only enjoy old graphics if I have my nostalgia goggles on and I never played it back in the day.
  20. Even in copaganda TV shows it always seems like plea deals mainly exist to get innocents that can't afford good lawyers into prison and get rich people low sentences.
  21. More or less that. I kept reading because I wanted to find out more about the world. It was free with prime when I read it though and I never bothered to get the last book. I would say the adaptation is better than the books so far.
  22. It felt like I was the only one in the cinema that got that reference
