Yeah i feel totally the same. For me Carice became Mel and everytime I reread the books I have her picture in my head.

I´ve seen a lot of YT Clips where Eva Green was used as Lyanna, which I find fitting. But because we probably won´t see any flashbackscenes that would not be of any help. Alternatively, I think she might be a good Sand Snake, yet an actress of her talent and status would certainly require a larger role. So she might be a choice for Nymeria - depending how they depict her role in the Small Coucil- though she does not really match the "Olive Skin" thing. Anyway, I don´t think we´ll ever see her in GoT, though I´d like it very much

The fact is...there are no roles for Eva Green, if you judge her by her looks. She could have been an extraordinary Cersei or Mel (with her hair dyed), but right now...I can't think of any character for her except Asha/Yara, which is quite small for an actress of her status.

They should recast Dany and have Eva Green play her role. Emilia Clarke, aside from being a very mediocre actress doesn't shed her clother anymore whereas Eva Green is practically naked in everything and a better actress.

If Ashara is still alive in whatever capacity, I wouldn't mind seeing Eva take the role. Eva could certainly pull-off the 'haunting eyes' bit from Ashara's description. I think Eva's 5'6 and Ashara was described as being tall, but it wouldn't bother me.

Frankly, Eva could even be a pretty great AD (though I doubt we're going to see her in the flashbacks). Sure, no purple eyes, but they're huge and rather haunting.

EDIT: Maybe if AD=SL and they'll bother casting her...again, very long shot on multiple accounts.

Yes, less nudity for Dany, but nudity has to stand for something when it involves a major character. Look at when she rose out of the bathtub. Naked, but extremely powerful, same with Melisandre in the scene with Queen Selyse.. Dany didn't have that many scenes that warranted that extra mile and would've otherwise been to fulfill that titty-quota.. In the earlier seasons, she was naked as a metaphor for her vulnerability and later blossoming sexuality/dominance.

As much as I would love Eva Green to be in the show, given the fact that Penny Dreadful has been green lit for another (extended) season ... I just don't see it happening.

Eva was my choice for Lyanna Stark as well, but I agree she is too old now.

Someone suggested Lady Barbrey? I think she'd work fabulously for that if they aged the character down a bit.

I love Eva, but she's too old and too obviously dark to be cast as Dany, for whoever mentioned she could replace our lovely Emilia. I mean, Dany at this stage in the novel is about fifteen or sixteen. I think she would have made a great Cersei, and also a great Mel, but those parts have been filled just dandy. I'd go along with Taena, but it would cost a lot to bring her in when she's already signed up for Penny Dreadful. The producers should have jumped in far quicker, because Camelot was so mediocre it was obvious it would be cancelled, and she wasn't very good in that, but she had no characterisation or decent dialogue to work with and was obviously bored.

I didn't believe it at all until I saw this season. Less nudity? How about none at all last season. It's not like D&D to forego nude scenes that actually exist in the books between Daario and Dany. She was naked because HBO like tits and arse. Simple. Nothing do with with all this powerful and mketaphorical nonsense. The Melisandre scene was comical not powerful. That and the Missandei scene are the perfect examples of unnecessary nude scenes just to fulfil the HBO quota.

And of course, D&D haven't at all been guilty of having nude scenes just for the sake of having them. Every nude scene obviously has some hidden meaning and layers of complexity to it.
