I have been rewatching the 1st season of the reboot too.

I think Eccleston was a good casting choice for re-opening the Doctor Who world. Especially for the layman such as myself.

He might not have been the Doctor for long. But he was pretty great.

My only regret about Michelle Gomez being the Master is that it means those rumours about Charles Dance weren't true. That would have been something. Ah well, maybe in a couple more seasons.

Agree. Maybe Michelle will change to Charkes Dance in series 9?

Yeah, I really hope she gets more screentime this season, and if Moffat is audacious enough to give the Master a bigger part for a season arc it could be very interesting.

I'm glad Michelle Gomez is continuing as the Master for another series. Series 8 felt like it was just the beginning, 1 series only would have been too short I think.

I have the strange feeling that she will not continue being the Master but she would rather appear as flashback or something like that as they did with Matt Smith at Deep Breath.

Now after finding Krypton radio I found a band called Legs Nose Robinson that has done some awesome DW related songs. Some of those are "Hey Missy", "My Beautiful Idiot" (my personal favorite), "The Oncoming Storm" and "Judas Kisses". They are pretty awesome.

As the Spamperial Ambassador to Gallifrey and Keeper of the Royal TARDIS I have the obligation to inform everyone who might care about Doctor's news. I will put them in spoiler mode because I am not sure if you like to be spoiled.

We have a new monster http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/block-3-monster-series-9.jpg

Jemma Redgrave will return as Kate Stewart for the first two episodes.

Maisie Williams will have a role in The Girl Who Died by Jamie Mathieson and Steven Moffat, but I am not sure if she will be part in The Woman Who Lived by Catherine Tregenna. The director in both episodes will be Ed Bazalgette.

The episodes' titles so far are; the first two episodes and two parters (I don't know if that is the right word) will be The Magician's Apprentice and The Witch's Familiar both written by Steven Moffat and directed by Hettie MacDonald and episodes 5&6 (again two parts) will be The Girl Who Died by Jamie Mathieson and Steven Moffat and The Woman Who Lived by Catherine Tregenna, director in both episodes will be Ed Bazalgette.

News for Series 9, rumors for Series 10 and fangirling.

OSGOOD IS BACK! http://40.media.tumblr.com/117b2066966c26799ff693e8c1374be1/tumblr_no3d600msb1u9jnovo4_1280.jpg I have no idea if she is the real one but the fact that Zygons are back too probably means that she is Osgood2.0.

Also according to rumors Moffat signed for Series 10. http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/moffat-reportedly-signed-up-for-series-10-73679.htm

Also some Capaldi with beard I know that fangirling is wrong but I cannot stop myself http://40.media.tumblr.com/d6ed60a948b4a2d13e37acf61d84ab4b/tumblr_nocf4hKHLW1r2xpibo1_1280.png

Spoiler
Oooh Capaldi! With beard!!

I'm also very happy that Jamie Mathieson is back at the writer's desk for this series. His episodes last year were great.

After public demand, another one with beard and a big goofy smile http://40.media.tumblr.com/5956ff1a671798b3f95c9ed5f3293e6e/tumblr_nocf4hKHLW1r2xpibo2_1280.png I am not sure if fangirling if ok here :D :D :D :D

Oh yes I liked both of his episodes! Especially Mummy, Flatline was better overall but I liked Mummy more.

And apparently, this should be an entire season made of two-parters ! I think, if true, it's a nice way to try something new with the show.

It gives them the opportunity to do movie-style stories and I guess, in a sense they are cheaper to make (less costumes, sets per season). Something the BBC has to consider these days.

Glad to read that Mathieson is back writing - he certainly deserved a return based on the ones he wrote last year.
