The Agency of Sansa Stark
We had some great discussions in the last thread. Some really good answers were put forth from both sides. Here's the link to the old thread:http://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/topic/123655-jon-snow-evil-for-what-he-did-to-janos-slynt/Might as well continue the debate here In volume

Ser Duncan The Average
I heard Jon Snow was the guy who deflated the Patriots' balls. Not to mention what he did to the Lindbergh baby.
JonSnow4President
I heard Jon Snow was the guy who deflated the Patriots' balls. He's also really the one who recorded the other team's signals.

LionOfCasterlyRock
Do we really want to live in a world where killing Janos Slint is a bad thing?
thelittledragonthatcould
If its a troll topic why do you all comment in it and spam it? If you have no interest in the subject then don't comment on it, this bizarre fundamentalist attitude to suppress other peoples opinions seems petty. I personally dont think Jon is evil. But he clearly killed Janos based on his crimes before he was a brother and that goes against the Nights Watch Code. Not only does Jon fantasize about killing Janos but even admits that he cant think of him as a brother. thinking how easily the blade would slide through skin and fat and sinew to part Slynt's ugly head from his body. All of a man's crimes were wiped away when he took the black, and all of his allegiances as well, yet he found it hard to think of Janos Slynt as a brother. There is blood between us. This man helped slay my father and did his best to have me killed as well. This does not make Jon evil, or even a bad person. It just makes him human and a great character, great work from GRRM. The Killer Snark
I'm pretending to take this thread seriously for a moment in stating that Slynt had fair warning repeatedly for his disobedience, before Jon was forced to kill Slynt off for refusing to take direct orders, or he wouldn't have been taken seriously as Commander of the Wall. Lord Lannister
I heard Jon Snow was the guy who deflated the Patriots' balls. Not to mention what he did to the Lindbergh baby. He's also really the one who recorded the other team's signals. Oh come on now, Jon Snow is just doing what it takes to win. We should admire that. And that baby had it coming. Evil he was! Now Janos Slynt... we all know his lewd advances are what caused Amelia Earhart to disappear!
TheKingoftheSevenKingdoms
Can't someone close this thread down? We don't really need to answer this question: Jon was not evil for executing Janos Slynt. I would have personally flung him off the Wall - on the side of Castle Black so he could crash into a building or hopefully impaled on a spike on the way down.
