But they are hardly free, they kneel to Stannis at the first chance they get.And free folk aren't the only wildlings. The thenns have a Lord who's son becomes Lord upon his death.But I was referring to Essos folk. I mentioned the key holders, in volantis the noble are the only ones to vote. And Jorah says it's not in the westeros way, but surnames do matter Any people will "kneel" for a powerful army that conquers them and could start killing them any moment.
