Konradsmith
It's definitely a duck: http://www.birdo.com.au/uploads/4/3/9/1/4391366/6873820_orig.jpgAnd I'm hesitant to call it a troll. His total lack of enthusiasm throughout the video sort of suggested that somebody put him up to holding that bird. The whole thing seems like a very deliberate hint. That's probably because the non-sequitur duck joke wasn't his idea and he's just going along with it as a good sport. alcasinoroyale
Some of the stuff GRRM comes up with are also pretty bad IMHO, but I still think he's a great writer overall. Yeah AFFC and ADWD were good for character development, but plot wise compared to ASOS it just seemed like it took a while for the storylines to really become exciting. There are strong elements such as the Northern storyline (Jon, Theon, Stannis, The Boltons), but overall, some of the material really could have been condensed so I'm glad that D&D are moving some of the storylines faster. Good Guy Garlan
My take on the duck:"At least I convinced him to leave the other six slots open, else Duck might have six ducklings trailing after him, each more blindingly adequate than the last."Jaime = Aegon's Kingsguard. You heard it here first, folks

Nickolaj is a well known jokester on the set, I say he thought of that himself! lol

AdmiralKyrd
Man, I finally finished a response to someone's question about what we would like to see from Brienne's arc this season. It's a few days old, but all the hatred of "fan fiction" makes me hesitant to post it since it goes into a scene that would be described as such. You heard it here first, folks Ok I dont want to take the joke any further than it is but.... I love that lol. I always thought it was genius to move Aegon to Trystane since Jaime seemed to revere Rhaegar so much, and to see that he can help his son take the throne, I think Jaime would really like that... Imagine Jaime backing Myrcella and Traegon, and Cersei backing Tommen....it could happen lol. Though Jaime would not want Tommen killed, so that will complicate things. Only problem is, why would Doran involve Jaime in his conspiracy? I dont know, but whatever big thing Dorne does, they definitely have a conspiracy, and it involves Trystane for sure, and Jaime will be in it somehow as well or else there is no reason to send Jaime there. Rhaegar is the perfect connection for him to switch sides. Imagine that, if Jaime going to Dorne cuts not only Aegon and Arianne Storyline set up, but also whatever Jaime does after his Stoneheart encounter(Join Aegon? On his way for the Volanqar set up? Good Guy Garlan
Well, I think either Balon Swann or Darkstar (or both, somehow) will end up as Aegon's KG in the books, and since Jaime is apparently taking over Balon's role, well, who knows. But yeah, it would be the mother of all cuts, holy shit
sati
I love you. Anyways just read from a friend in India that apparently this info that they will do their own version of Thrones there is legit. I bet they have Stoneheart before we see her here
AdmiralKyrd
It depends on who supplied the stuffed duck/swann. Did HBO Nordic do it or was it him? How fluent is Nikolaj in English to identify a duck vs a swan? Would the video team have understood to reshoot it if he should have said swan instead of duck? It's probably meant to be a swan. He looks so different without the floppy hair! Yeah, I bet that that causes some confusion when 501 airs no matter how much they set it up in the previously on segment. stannisismyking
I wonder what Lancel scene they will use in the "previously on.. ". Was there one specific scene that would point to him and Cersei being involved in Roberts death? (it's been so long since I watched S1)

Was there one specific scene that would point to him and Cersei being involved in Roberts death? (it's been so long since I watched S1) Varys:"I wonder, who gave him the wine?" Barry:"His squire. From the King's own skin." Ned:"His squire? The Lannister boy?" Varys: "Such a loyal boy to make sure his king did not lack refreshment. I do hope the poor lad does not blame himself." That's paraphrased but that's the scene in ep. 107 where some folks discuss this. I think showing that dialogue overtop some clips of Lancel and Cersei's relationship etc. would set it up well enough.
stannisismyking
Oh yeah I remember now. They could play that over a shot of Lancel scurrying around doing his squiring. Hopefully no shot of Cersei sending him back to bed though... Gak
alcasinoroyale
That would definitely work. Would they have a scene in the previously on to reintroduce Kevan, you think?

JonCon's Red Beard
fuck yeah, Ser Rolly! "I don't think you quite grasp what 'fan fiction' is or why I object to it. GAME OF THRONES is a licensed adaptation.". George R.R. Martin. That link is a wonderful answer to all the "Fan Fiction" whines... Game of Thrones is licen$ed adaptation. Fan fiction is unlicensed adaptation. Of course it's not the same :dunno:
