King Gendry Baratheon
Just wait my friends! If this beast gets out from his prison he will ride alone to Winterfell and slay all bolton and Frey men! Heh, but seriously has this great man still some part to play or will he sit in prison for rest of the books? What do you think :)

Hutch
I'm sure he'll turn back up. Wouldn't want to be a Frey when he gets out.

Nyrhex
Never really understood the Greatjon love in the fandom... :dunno: Who cares if he is going to kill Freys? The guy has spent clost to a year in chains already, he is not breaking out of shit on his own. The Freys would already be beaten by the time he is freed, not break free. All he has to do is hurt some of the dying Freys around him out of spite.
Wolf of Dorne
The rest of the captives are leaving the Twins for KL. Tom o sevens was there when this plan was discussed wasn't he? I think it's a pretty good bet he will be freed with the help of the BwoB.
James Steller
I can only imagine the reaction Greatjon will have when he sees Lady Stoneheart.
Good Guy Garlan
What if he's the giant Sansa slays in Winterfell? I know it's most likely Littlefinger, but it would be a heartbreaking swerve

BWB would break him away like they might try for Edmure.

I think this could be one of the more interesting side plots in TWOW, and could the Umber/Stoneheart reunion maybe lead the BwB into the North at some point? Connartist92
I reaaaaalllly want the Prologue of TWOW to be from the perspective of a Frey guarding The Greatjon in the dungeons at the Twins, obviously ending with The Greatjon's escape and the Frey's death :)

Greatjon challenged Robb, lost his fingers to Greywiind, laughed it off, and supported Robb more than Theon, or the Karstarks. How could anyone not love him? He will be free, and when he does, the House of Frey will know death everlasting.

I mean, aside from being a big tough guy, this is also the same guy who starts the whole Northern independence idiocy, is an over-nationalistic, religiously intolerant guy that beats a handcuffed prisoner for talking back. Urges Robb to attack the Freys for daring to leave him when he breaks thier alliance, after they have fought and bled and died for him. He came off as a big badass for laughing off the biting of his fingers, but everything else was just portraying an asshole.

But he was right then ;) If Robb had attacked Freys the red wedding would not happen. Ofc it was the right decision to not attack them, but when we know what happened after Freys left it seems that Greatjon knew who could not be trusted. If he attacks the Freys he is commiting to fighting them, but with Roose already on the Lannister's side that just means that the war ends in the Riverlands in battle (though it's still possible for a sort of Red Wedding with Roose "taking the Twins", then massacaring Robb's troops as the cross with the help of the remaining Freys - near 3,000 foot). If Robb needs to go through the Ruby Ford because he dares not attack the Twins with even more dwindeled numbers, he would be facing the Lanniters and the Tyrells and thier ~70,000 men. It's pointless, Jeyengate had already screwed Robb at that point. On top of it not making a real difference, Robb is also remembered in a different light. Instead of the Young Wolf, who was betrayed by those who said they forgive him and are willing to let him try giving them his word again, he is remembered as a dick who took the Frey's part of the deal, went back on his, then had the audacity to attack them for daring to leave him. Then he still ends up killed because with the Freys and Roose not on his side he does not even have a chance to make it back to the Neck alive.
