Thought he put numbers in the titles based on where in the chronology the story takes place.

I know the new one is the sixth chronologically.
polishgenius
I can't find the quote now, but I recall him saying he's stopped because the introductions are done and the series is kicking into a new gear now, so it didn't really make sense any more to keep the same title scheme as it got increasingly forced. Calibandar
Just started "Pendragon" by James Wilde, which is really quite good so far. I found out that this a pen name for Mark Chadbourn, who chronicled several Fantasy books, the World's End trilogy I have unread on the shelf. This book was released mid July in the UK in hardcover, for those interested.
Darth Richard II
Yeah so Ruin of Angels is his best book yet, 11/10, if it doesn't as least get a Hugo nomination I'm going to riot.
Ser Scot A Ellison
Anyone read The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O.? It is one few epistolary novels that I've actually enjoyed.

If there's a sequel I would read it.

Am I misremembering, that in the Anathem universe time travel was not possible except that it landed you in a slightly different universe? Which is why the alien ship appeared after hitting a couple of worlds, one of which was implied to be Earth.  i really loved Anathem. May be my favorite overall Stephenson.
