And ooops, some evil Tywin showed through in season 1, before the whitewashing with a mile long brush began. IIRC, Tyrion did say he ordered the gang rape of Tysha.

 

People who dismiss his crimes by saying he wasn't responsible for Gregor and co's actions are deluding themselves. Tywin knew who he was sending forth, and did it on purpose to further his goals. See "rape and torture" as a war weapon.

People who say that are obviously talking nonsense. Tywin sent Gregor forth in order to lure Edmure to divide his forces in face of Tywin's forces. And this isn't even getting into the whole concept of command responsibility.

Yeah, so we have Tywin 'Lawful Neutral' Lannister, Ramsay 'Badass Warrior' Bolton, and Littlefinger 'insert stoopid adjective of choice'. Too bad Tywin's dead, or these three could be the three heads of the dragon. Or something. 

At this point, I just want every scene to be crazier and stupider than the previous one. At least it will be funny to see GoT going full Lost. 

I know, I know... I've been getting my wish for a couple of series at least.

Its funny, the show runners hate Jaime and in reality, in the books, he is truly the best one of the main branch of house Lannister. His sibblings and father are more akin to monsters (different variations depending on one's point of view) than Jaime ever was. When he revealed what he stopped the Mad King from doing was a big reveal.

The one Lannister where they go in the opposite direction, the one they call the "monster" is Jaime.

And they had him rape Cersei, they keep saying they don't want us to be influenced by the nice thing he did for Brienne, saving her from rapists, that's he's a monster. So we won't see him cut off the head of Pia's rapist and hand it to her, either.

That's really bizarre that they like Ramsay but not Jaime. And they play up one, but make the other a buffoon.

Yes, because when someone does something bad, that means he's capable of anything. Jaime pushed Bran, so he must be a rapist too !

Some people are also believe Tywin's words that the RW was a way to end the war where only a few people died ... but they forget the Freys murdered all those other soldiers who were outside. 

He is really lawful neutral.

There's no real argument for Tywin, but it's bizarre that they are making the characters who are actually trying to do good worse, and whitewashing villains.

Cersei as Poor Carol. Saint Tyrion the Blessed. Arya's Kindly Grandpa Tywin. They love Lannisters. Just not Monster Jaime (aka Larry the Lunkhead).

And LF as Hero Of The North. She Sees The Wisdom Of His Plans. Her Knight in Shining Armor. And Super Ramsay aka The Badass. And His 20 Good Men, too.

They made Ramsay a badass.  They made him handsome, a great fighter, gave him a hot girlfriend, had him beat the IB in no shirt and destroy Stannis provisions w/his 20 men, give him tons of great lines. It's anyone's guess why of all the characters to choose from they picked Ramsay to give so many badass characteristics which he doesn't possess as his real book self. 

 

I feel like D&Ds obsession with Ramsey is a perfect explanation for so many of the problems that exist in this show.

People who find empathy and admiration for the book version of the Lannisters, especially Cersei and Tywin must have had silver or golden spoons in their mouths and feel some symbionic connection to them. The sympathy i have for the real Tyrion goes only to a limited point.

It is sad, he is a sex slave taker and trafficker. murderer, conspiarator to commit murder, a traitor. He is a high level functioning sociopath. The show runners seem to love him which is why he will probably get what he wants, at least for a while, that being Sansa and Winterfell.

I think on the show, Ramsay is actually much better than Jaime, who pretty much sucked even before he lost his hand. Like, the duel with Brienne which is very even in the books, is a pretty one-sided beatdown by Brienne on the show, isn't it? (And then she makes sure to make her "overpraise a famous name" comment, further implying that Jaime's swordsmanship isn't all that.) Whereas Ramsay is obviously a total badass (I mean, duh, a barechested Jaime/Barristan/Arthur Dayne would never have seen off the 50 most hardened killers of the Iron Islands AND bested Stannis's army with twenty good men. Pffft! :P)
