I don't really care one way or another how folks less informed than you figure out the differences. If you can't figure out the difference between someone employed at a religious university and how they should be treated vs. how an elected official should be treated with respect to their sexual choices, that's on you. If you don't care to dig into it more, that's also on you.

Why do you have to be unnecessarily confrontational with this shit? You're the one always spouting off how we can't possibly do anything to turn off the low-info voters. Then you turn around and argue for no fucking reason when anyone tries to agree with you. Take your fucking bullshit out somewhere else.

I posted in the BINGO thread that it sounds more like they're preparing for a coup rather than an election. None of this shit will show during prime time. Expect a noticeable change of tone when the networks tune in.

Citation needed. Furthermore, the low-information voters probably have no fucking idea who Katie Hill is, or even Jerry Falwell Jr. I'm really not concerned about alienating the venn diagram of voters who are vaguely aware of Katie Hill, vaguely aware of Falwell Jr, and cannot operate a search engine or have the curiosity of an addled flatworm.

You...didn't try to agree with me. You tried to point out how these are both people getting cancelled for their sexual morals, and that notion is just wrong on virtually every single level save that both people ended up having sex. If that is your method of 'agreeing' with someone, I think you're going to find a whole lot of people arguing with your agreement.

No I fucking didn't dumbass; I argued exactly the opposite - that we should focus on Falwell's lying and hypocrisy, not his sexual activities in and of themselves. It's not my fault if you can't be bothered to actually read what I fucking wrote.

Yup. An army of patriots!

My problem is I don't drink, so I can't watch this. Will have to get the lowlights tomorrow.

I think you can focus on his sexual activities because they're amusing, that they represent moral hypocrisy, and they represent him being a literal cuckold with typical porny cuckold fantasies, which is especially funny given the alt-right Breitbart insult of choice. This is honestly the same to me as a preacher who is yelling about homosexuality being a horrible sin ending up being gay, and that isn't the case if he's just having extramarital affairs or whatever. Part of the reason that this kink is ironic is because of that, and part of the reason that it matters what he's doing is because of railing against it (no pun intended) due to those insults being passed around.

I'm drunk and stoned, and I'm debating whether I need some anti-stroke medication, but that may not be a good idea.

Look, that's fine - and yeah, I was wrong about the particulars of Hill's case, but my original intent was to try and draw a distinction between her case and his. She was needlessly and shamelessly forced out; he deserves what he's getting.

I'm also rip-roaring drunk, and lack of understanding around nonmonogamy is a touchy subject for me. :fencing:

Wow, this is some next level weird shit. They have a nurse come out and say Trump did better than anyone else could on the virus, and now they're running an ad suggesting it was actually the Democrats who were the ones who were dismissive of it. These people are completely detached from reality.

LMFAO!!! Is this shit real??

Donald Trump as George Bailey?

ETA: Just to be clear, she's most likely lying (WaPo):

Quote

But looking closely at her accounts of her illness, it’s hard to see how she could be a beneficiary of Right to Try. The effects of the life-threatening medical error she suffered were treated before the law’s passage, for instance. As she sought help for her cancer, she says, she was ultimately given “an FDA-approved immunotherapy drug for an unapproved use” — which made the difference. However, off-label or unapproved use of FDA-approved drugs is common and permitted under rules that long predate Trump’s tenure. Right to Try specifically allows access to drugs that have not received FDA approval. (Harp didn’t respond to requests for an interview made through various social media channels, cellphone messages and Trump 2020 spokespeople.)

That opinion piece is from 2019.

2016 Two: Fascistic Boogaloo

But 2016 One was already Fascist Boogaloo. They can't even come up with creative subtitles
