RhaenysBee
I don’t know when we will break up with the barbaric tradition of extra workdays. But until then, happy workday Saturday from my post-socialist corner to your regular one. Have some coffee for me

And I have since found out that it is rude to take the tip of the cheese wedge, if you are first. I think you've been lied to. The étiquette as I know it is that you should cut the tip diagonally, so as to recreate a tip after every slice. This means, of course, that you alternate your diagonals. But that's not even a golden rule: if the slice of the wedge is big to begin with, it can be ok to start by removing the tip. The counter-example to this would be blue cheeses, because it's considered polite to make sure everyone gets just as much of the mold (), so you want to have thin slices. You can see here what I'm talking about (with the example of brie). And you can see here that it's ok to remove a tip.

HoodedCrow
Bleu des Causses on a baguette. Or Brie or Camembert. Sigh. Manchego is acceptable. And then we have Neil’s Yard. I will cut the cheese any way that is fair:)
HoodedCrow
Marc Chagall is huge. The things I like best are his brushwork, ( he was brilliant with different styles), his strange positive depictions of women, couples and marriage, (much art does not), joyfulness and vibrancy. His work looks good as stained glass and mosaics. I can” hear” his paintings:)
