Oh, but is that female wearing a halter top? :o Good grief, first spear thrust to the abdomen and she ought to be dead. I've noticed that often enough in the screenshots one or more characters appear to be dead...I wonder if that's somehow rather unavoidable in the game?

I don't get the last line there, AK, but in general, I think you really need to work on the chain mail bikini-clad gf thing. :P

In that screenshot with the spray of blood, is that a dog? I can't really tell what it is, but I think it's head is too small for it's body.

Threw that in there for your benefit. I was just saying that I hope it's possible for characters to permadie on harder difficulties and have more party members to choose from than having like 4 that revive right after battle.

That actually is something that bugs me about NWN2. Maybe this is just silly, but I prefer having resurrection potions/scrolls/spells than auto-resurrect.

You can change it (permadeath or not to permadeath) in the custom difficulty, can't you? At least, you could in BG2. I think as long as I can do that with the custom, all will be groovy.

Nope, NWN2's story doesn't work if any character dies before the final battle.


The trouble with perma-death is that it would actually cause me to reload any fight in which a character I like dies. Not my idea of fun.

That's assuming they'll be actual characters, not just guys you take along for the fighting.

That's right. BTW, were the characters' actions in the final battle based on influence or what? It didn't exactly go my way if you know what I mean.

Yes, they are.

SPOILER: NWN2
One of Sand/Qara betrays you, depending on influence. The construct does so if your influence with Grobnar is too low and Neeshka can also fail to come around because of low influence.

Uh, I got it on my first run through. I'm pretty sure that was before the release of any patch.

ETA: Not that the thing is much fun to bring along.

Apparently you have to get it before some story event happens or it's bugged. Like, if you talk to the gnome that builds it he just says some pointless shit.

When you first come across it, you have to agree with Bishop to take it back with you later. You don't actually see this happening, though. It just shows up in the basement of Crossroad Keep (if you picked the right dialogue option) and Grobnar will have the option to upgrade it later.
