thekingsguarddoesnotflee
David O Hara as Victarion. And no one else.I think that is quite a good suggestion. He's certainly got the physical presence for the role! If I can suggest another Scot, I think Peter Mullan would have the charisma and intensity to make a really good Euron. Gramsci
I think that is quite a good suggestion. He's certainly got the physical presence for the role! If I can suggest another Scot, I think Peter Mullan would have the charisma and intensity to make a really good Euron.I never even thought of David O'Hara, but he would be awesome. I find it unlikely that this would happen, though. Despite my dislike of the Earl of Surrey as a character (I actually quite like his real world poetry), O'Hara somehow made me sympathetic towards him. Plus his performance in Braveheart is unforgettable. Great acting and a rugged handsomeness. That is a great one.
Ser Alasdair the Bard
Victarion Greyjoy: Clive Standen, David O'Hara or Ray Stevenson (they are both perfect! Ray is done with Thor and finished with Dexter and Clive may be done with Vikings, not sure of filming schedule)... if they do him though they better do him well! No liberies with the costume, I want to see plate, I want to see an awesome axe and I want to see a kraken healm and 'cloth of gold' cloak!!!Euron: Viggo Mortensen or James PurefoyDamphair: Same extra who anointed Theon in the sea or a skinny guy with long hair dark hair and an epic beard

Ser Alasdair the Bard
For Euron I know people are worried James Purefoy would say no but read this http://collider.com/james-purefoy-interview-ironclad-john-carter/

His acting has really gone down the crapper in what I have seen of him in recent years... also he looks too amusing while Vic is meant to be surly and mistrusting of laughs. Sorry for the spam of no but I just think this would be about the biggest casting blunder they could make... after maybe Oona Chaplin (May I just state here, Oona should be on the show!!!! Just not as Jey...Talissa Who-the-hell-cares-about-your-badly-written-fake-name. Would have loved to see her as a sand snake or as Taena Merryweather (nee. of Myr) )Edit: I enjoyed him in the first Hellboy :)

I think Clive would be an awesome Vic!Viggo as Euron? At the beginning I liked this but Viggo lacks the creepy look ^^I also thought of Lee Pace as Euron but I think he lacks the evil look too :/
Veltigar
Euron = Mads Mikkelsen (sadly, Hannibal stands in the way.) Victarion = Ray Stevenson or Lars Mikkelsen
Blutrabe
If Ray Stevenson won't be Victarion, then I'll be seriously disappointed. My mental picture of Euron is Richard Armitage or Gerard Butler. But both actors are too high-profile for a TV production.

Which Tyler
I wouldn't say Richard Armitage is too high profile. Gerard Butler, yes, but not Richard.Given that he's pretty much exclusively a TV actor + Hobbit; then I'm right with you, not unlikely to do TV; though he may want launch into movies after the Hobbit; equally, he may not; none of the LOTR cast really made film careers for themselves on the back of LOTR (barring Bloom, unfortunately)
TheMadDawg
Euron Greyjoy : Mads Mikkelsen. http://images2.fanpo...4-1680-1050.jpgVictarion Greyjoy: Vladimir Kulich. http://image.toutlec...3-2011-18-g.jpgAeron Greyjoy : Robert Carlyle. http://www.commeauci...9fb612dc492.jpgI completely agree with the last two. They would be perfect. For Euron though I think I'd go with:James Purefoy
TheMadDawg
And whoever said Christopher Eccleston had the right idea. Although I think he'd be awesome as Euron or Aeron. I know this character would never be on the show unless they do stuff for Dunk and Egg, but Eccleston as Bloodraven would be awesome.
Moseh Khayim
Haven´t heard anything concerning the casting of the Greyjoy brothers. Gatiss might play Aeron, although I still believe he´ll be Bloodraven. So, does this mean we´ll get no Greyjoy brothers in season 4?
Lord Martin
There is a video floating around that Gattis is playing some new character who is a condensed version of 2 or 3 of the Greyjoy brothers.Anyone know if this is confirmed?

Lord Martin
http://winteriscomin...st-in-season-4/ that's what I found...Interesting, I wonder if the guy in the video saw this speculation and ran.I also heard Gatiss only filmed for a brief period of time which puts Bloodraven in play I guess.I just don't see how the Greyjoy Brothers can be combined, its not like the Tyrell brothers (and even that was an iffy decision). I don't like the thought and he doesn't look like any Greyjoy to me too. Also if he's truly cast as Victarion, I think he's too "small" for my opinion (he's 6'1). I always pictured Victarion being REALLY tall.
Moseh Khayim
After season 3 ended Asha was heading for the Dreadfort and Balon was still alive.I was expecting Balon to die in the beginning of season 4. Asha would receive the news and return to the Iron Islands for the Kingsmoot. Now it looks like neither Euron nor Victarion will be cast in the upcoming season which leads me to believe they might drag out the Asha storyline. Hopefully I´m wrong. I don´t like a suggested merger of Victarion and Aeron just as I don´t see how Gatiss could be anything like Victarion. Not the dumb brute kind of guy.Guess we´ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
