This may have been done before...anyway, title says all. There WILL be spoilers, obviously. Pretty basic: what have been your favourite/the best scenes or moments in all of the aSoIaF books so far?

10. "Only Cat." Littlefinger makes Lysa fly. The whole chapter with the hysterical Lysa revealing that basically everything had been LF's plotting...man, that was amazing.

9. The Battle of Blackwater. Probably the most action packed sequence in all of the books. I don't know about you guys but I had NO IDEA what Tyrion's chain was for until Davos went "the chain. Gods save us, they've raised the chain."

6. Viserys getting his golden crown.

5. Bridge of Dreams. "The current had them in its teeth..." So creepy. The stone men might be as scary the wights, IMO (but less relevant) ..."Mother Rhoyne runs how she will," murmured Yandry. "Seven save us," said Lemore...

Definitely great moments. I loved the Bridge of Dreams - I thought it was so frightening/creepy as hell and this is one of the moments I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE ON THE TV SHOW.

Bran finding CotF and Bloodraven.

Petyr Baelish pushing Lysa out the moon door.

Dany running down into the pit and whipping Drogon whilst screaming (I possibly love this even more than the birth of the dragons themselves)

Stannis coming to the Wall

Cersei's descent into utter madness

Jon ''Edd, Fetch me a block'' and Stannis' nod.

The Red Wedding

Brienne and Jaime

The Old Bear's death and him talking about Jorah ;_;

And for some odd reason I fucking LOVED the Barristan Selmy reveal

These are just off the top of my head, I haven't read some of the books in awhile, I'm in Uni and I've left all my books down at home for my younger sister/Mother/Father to read but I don't think any of them actually will so i'm going to reclaim them soon.

1) Red Wedding. Without any doubt. I stopped reading for an hour or so... So shocking.

7. ned stark beheading the nights watch deserter (if you give the sentence you swing the sword, a man can only be brave when he is afraid)

8. jamie and tyrions parting, they each say something to the other that wreaks their whole mindset, probobaly for the rest of their lives

9. reek, it rhymes with meek

I like some of the scenes and sequences in general but I'll go ahead and mention the dialogues that made me love them.

-Jaime and Catelyn's conversation at Riverrun. Best dialogue - Jamie: "There are no men like me. There's only me.

-'THE KING IN THE NORTH!'

-Ned confronting Cersei. Best dialogue - Cersei: "And what of my wrath, Lord Stark?" Also the 'game of thrones' line

-'A crown for a king.' Even though Viserys seemed on par with Joffrey when it comes to being a complete dick, I did feel sorry for him in the TV series, when he seemed content as Dany told him Khal Drogo was giving him his crown.

-Ser Barristan throwing his sword at Joffrey's feet and marching out.

-Ned's dream about the Tower of Joy. The Kingsguards' lines were gold. "Woe to the usurper had we been there." "Aerys would still be king and our false brother would burn in the seven hells." "Our knees don't bend easily." "But not of the Kingsguard. The Kingsguard do not flee."

-Jaime showing his Kingsguard who was boss. Best line was that one about Arthur Dayne.

-Tyrion slapping Joffrey, both at Winterfell and at the riot of KL.

-Jon Snow beheading Janos Slynt

-This exchange at Dragonstone between Ser Davos and Stannis when they were discussing about the attack on Claw Isle

“It is every man’s duty to remain loyal to his rightful king, even if the lord he serves proves false,” Stannis declared in a tone that brooked no argument.

A desperate folly took hold of Davos, a recklessness akin to madness. “As you remained loyal to King Aerys when your brother raised his banners?” he blurted.

Brutal honesty. A typical badass line from Davos.

Its not in order but Ser Davos takes top spot.

I am sure just about all the ones I liked are already mentioned. But to add one (that I do not think was mentioned) would be in aDwD the first time Jaime see's Riverrun he comments on how it was surrounded by Lions, but the the ramparts were still flying the fish of Tully, and above it all stood, defiant, the banner of House Stark.
