Werthead Posted December 26, 2012 Share Posted December 26, 2012 They're odd covers, they seem to be at least partially based on the older covers, but unlike the previous covers the artist has decided to completely ignore how spaceships are meant to look in the series and instead put in some generic spaceships that are nothing like the spherical or organic spaceships that are described in the series.There are spherical ships on the TRD back cover. The other two are more understandable: the in-system helium-3 freighters on the cover of TNA aren't spherical (only FTL ships need to be spherical due to wormhole physics in the series) and the ships on TND are not human, so it's not an issue. The only thing that confuses me are the disk-like ships on the front cover of TRD. They're not combat wasps and Lalonde doesn't have any orbital defence platforms (which is what they look like).
