I thought Kemp was writing another Egil and Nix book?

He is/has, book two is publishing in the spring/early summer. Why would that preclude him from continuing to write in the Forgotten Realms? Godborn, btw has been in the works for a couple of years

I continue to see these books by Douglas being published but in my intarweb travels (mainly here and SFFWorld, plus twitter) rarely have I come across anybody who has read them. So, anybody?

I have the first one. Bought it while I was on one of my space opera buying sprees, but I have not read it yet. I know he has a couple of other series as well.

Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb (new hardcover edition).

Crap.

Meh.

This is actually pretty good. I wouldn't mind seeing this on all the editions.

Crap again.

The 'simple cover art that looks like it was created in five minutes' thing is played out now. What we need is more decent, solid cover art like the YA edition.

That is actually a pretty good cover! (Sorry, it seems like those have been rare lately.) Interesting, pretty, impactful...I'm actually curious about this book from the cover...and it doesn't even have anyone in a hoodie and/or boobs! HOW HARD WAS THAT, COVER PEOPLE?
