Onion Seaworth
If you ever meet Liam Neeson, please don't call him an English actor. I know your post said 'mostly English', so I'll let you skate by on a technicality. UK actor then ^^ I would like to see David Morrisey, I loved him as the Governor in walking dead so seeing more of him would not be bad i actually liked morriseys governor more then the comic counterpart
King of the Bastards
I genuinely believe that no actor is too big for a 1 season cameo. Game of Thrones is huge now and everyone wants a slice of the pie. Plus you've got True Detective setting this type of precedent and Kevin Spacey throwing his weight behind HoC. TV is big these days, I really wouldn't put it past Hugh Laurie, Bill Nighy or even Ralph Fiennes appearing in a role for a season. but they have higher costs and an immense cast. I'm still wondering what the main cast is paid
King of the Bastards
^ Interesting list. There are a couple of places there that could suit McShane as well - Connington and they could pull off Tarly as well. He can certainly do sinister well enough to make people think "Yep, Sam's dad is an arse" It's still David O'Hara for me. He's a mean one and has the looks to be related to Sam. jet199
Just watching the BBC's new version of Jamaica Inn and Sean Harris is amazing. I loved him in Five Daughters and thought he could play a someone like the High Sparrow but having seen him be really nasty I think he would be the perfect Randyll Tarly. Travy1991
You know who would be great as one of the Sand Snakes (maybe Nym)? Ruth Negga. She's british, hot and is great as one of the recurring villains in Agents of Shield (the lady in the flower dress) Also, Robert Kazinsky (the Edmure that could have been, damn it). Maybe he could be Darkstar or some such. There's really a lack of big characters moving forward.... And I'll keep on saying this till I'm blue in the face: Corey Stoll is Euron, even though he's not british. I'd also like to see Juno Temple as someone, but maybe she's too big now. She was fantastic in a little film called Magic Magic. I think she could pull off an awesome Tyene Ruth Negga is Ethiopian-Irish, not British. Agreed, she could make a good Sand Snake. Robert Kazinsky's a good one too, I can see him playing Arys Oakheart or possibly even Aegon. He's not that much older than Richard Madden, Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke so it's not out of the realm of possibility. I don't see a quota that the cast of Game of Thrones has to be British so I don't see why Corey Stoll is a problem either. Most of the cast is British but there are/were also Irish (Gleeson, Cunningham, Gillen), American (Dinklage, Momoa), Dutch (Van Houten), Danish (Coster-Waldau), Spanish (Chaplin) and Norwegian (Hivju) members in the main cast alone. I love Juno Temple. Very hot and good actress. I could see her possibly playing a young Val. But my ideal Val...and I haven't been able to get this out of my head is a Canadian actress named Katheryn Winnick. http://cdni.condenast.co.uk/642x390/k_n/Katheryn-Winnick-02-GQ-15Jul13_rex_b_642x390.jpg She's in History Channel's Vikings which is a fantastic show that I enjoy very much and her character is very popular in it. However, if the show did get cancelled or if her charater is written out, I could see her play Val very well. She has the look and can play badass warrior types too. Harry Lime
Tatiana Maslany could be a good Alys Karstark, if she isn't cut completely.
Fog Machine
Liam Neeson turned up in the UK sitcom, Rev, the other night, he essentially played God, but God in an ill-matching tracksuit holding a can of lager and singing (and dancing) along to a hymn... Ralph Fiennes turned up in the same episode as a Bishop... Olivia Colman and Tom Hollander are the regular main players with great support from Simon McBurney... all of them would be perfect in GoT, and McBurney has oddly sinister down... as ever I don't know where to start with which characters they should play... but I'd love to see McBurney sparring with Conleth Hill (a battle of wits rather than anything more physical)
Ser Tahu
but they have higher costs and an immense cast. I'm still wondering what the main cast is paid I don't have a source for this so I'm not sure how accurate it is, but I remember reading somewhere that Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage (the two most expensive actors on the show) are paid ~$125,000 per episode. In other words ~1 million each per season. The rest of the main cast, I imagine, would be paid less than that.

Ser Tahu
I have no idea what roles, but lots of names come to mind just because it would be fun to see them tackle some of these characters.Spartacus people:-cut- How is it possible to make a list of people from Spartacus without mentioning John Hannah? Anyway, my current dream cast list is this: Wyman Manderly - Ian McNieceJustin Massey (I assumed the role would be cut, but the TWoW chapters have convinced me otherwise) - Joe Gilgun Euron Greyjoy - David Wenham. Second preference - Richard Armitage (although he could be too expensive because of The Hobbit). Third preference - James Purefoy. If he wasn't too expensive I wouldn't mind Viggo Mortensen in the role.Victarion Greyjoy - Ray Stevenson OR Liam McIntyre (they could age him with makeup. He strikes me as the sort of guy that could pull off roles older than himself)Aeron Greyjoy (if he isn't cut entirely. At this point, of all the new PoV's he is the easiest to cut) - Jonathan Ryan (the drowned priest from season 2) Randyll Tarly - Shaun Dooley (the final probation worker on Misfits). Second preference - David O'Hara. I wouldn't mind David Morrissey, but he would be far too expensive for such a minor role.High Sparrow - John Hurt OR Jeremy IronsRonnet Connington (if he isn't cut. I think he could add a lot of tension and character development) - Rupert Grint, maybe? Doran Martell - Jimmy Smits. Second preference - Edward James Olmos. Third Preference - Alexander SiddigArianne Martell - Aimee Garcia. Second preference - Karla CromeTyene Sand - Caity LotzNymeria Sand - Janina GavankarSarella Sand/Alleras - Antonia ThomasGerold Dayne - François Arnaud OR David Oakes Quentyn Martell - Christian Antidormi OR Nathan McMullen OR a complete unknown.Gerris Drinkwater (I have a feeling that it will be important for Quentyn to have at least one companion) - Matt StokoeMoqorro - Peter MensahJon Connington - Damian Lewis. Second preference - Kevin McKidd. Third preference - Sean Harris. I also wouldn't mind David Wenham if he wasn't my pick for EuronYoung Griff - Robert Sheehan if he is who he claims to be, Jaime Campbell Bower if he isn'tTattered Prince - John HannahBrown Ben Plumm (if he isn't cut) - Giancarlo Esposito (if Brown Ben is combined with Tatters then I would definitely prefer John Hannah because John Hannah) And finally:Recast Mance Rayder - Viggo Mortensen
Ser Desmond Wine's Bane
^ I have long thought Mortensen would be good as Euron as well. Having an actor people identify with will make them suddenly pay attention to the Greyjoys and Ironborn.
Heidrun
Ser Tahu I second Jimmy Smits as ANY of the male Martells. Very underrated actor. Very talented, but obscure enough that a role like this would get him some attention. Of course the Star Wars prequel trilogy, more people were cringing at the love plot tumor, insipid dialogue and Darth Vader whining than paying attention to the talented Hispanic actor playing Senator Organa. As a Fellow Dane i think that would be nice, not that Nikolai isn't doing a great job allready. :D Mads Mikkelsen, who played Le Chiffre in Casino Royal is another possibility, he is very good at playing someone who is a little pchyco. Zizou
Before the show aired I wanted James Callis AKA Gaius Baltar as Littlefinger.. Still want him on the show. As Euron mayhaps. Other than that I wouldn't mind seeing Ewan McGregor on the show.
