  1. Ah canon, I'm still hoping for Kyle Katarn to show up. He can demonstrate that the true power of the forces lies in thermal detonators.
  2. With luck your tomatoes are only produced in China with massive use of pesticides that are illegal in the EU and only repacked in Italy as organic tomatoes. That was the topic of the last tomate related documentary I have seen. My last documentary was about worthless certificates on bananas. I actually had one of the brands mentioned by name at home. No ethical consumption under capitalism as they say.
  3. That would be rather interesting. A while ago I was interested in what GPs in different countries get and the pay for most jobs in the health care sector in the UK is surprisingly low. I was actually a bit surprised that the system is still running with the medical professionals there speaking a language that makes emigration incredible easy but it is actually the other way round and a lot of foreign medical professionals migrate to the UK. Maybe not having to deal with private insurance systems is a perk?
  4. Rollout was pretty fast. I could have had an appointment Monday I think but I only had time today. Media coverage and government information feel non-existent this time. It is definitely not that easy to find an appointment if you are unaware that the distribution outside of cities is completely MD based this time(pharmacists are not allowed to vaccinate here). The official recommendation here is that everyone 12+ should get it. Different from a lot of other countries.
  5. When it comes to writing I suspect nobody comes close to Karl Marx outside of religion. His "meta-narrative" spread outside of the west in a way that nothing else matches imho. On a sidenote a lot of the anglosphere names dropped in this thread mean absolutely nothing to me and I'm rather anglophile I think.
  6. Is there anything in season 3 of The Mandalorian that's relevent for Ahsoka? That's the one thing I have not watched.
  7. So I'm progressing in my evil game. A murder hobo that does things for the evulz might be a bit unrewarding item wise but it has been incredible amusing so far. I'm also playing a gnome and the running animation makes me giggle. Only Asterions anime run animation is more fun. Sadly he only does it when he is far behind and has to catch up.
  8. Only if you count us as part of Western Europe.
  9. Just saw that my MD offers it and I booked an appointment next week An open letter by a group of doctors has asked for masking in the health care sector again recently and it mentioned that a lot of doctors that support it prefer to stay anonymous. Completely understandable as a prominent pro-vaccine/madking doctor commited suicide after constant death threats. Most prefer to remain silent nowadays as the police openly said in that case that she should just shut if she did not want death threats.
  10. I'm rewatching The Good Place for the 2nd time. I still enjoy it.
  11. That's nice! I really dig the narrator especially when I'm choosing weird or questionable things. Anyways I still have not reached the proper ending but I have done some alternative endings before reloading.
  12. I also read the the Russians are having problems with billions of rupees that are very difficult to spend. They can spend them in India if they want to but abroad is problematic for some reason. A good deal for India I guess.
  13. Well I already murdered 3 companions. I guess there is no point in stopping the evil train at that point.
  14. Started an evil playtrough and it seems rather unrewarding when it comes to items.
  15. Fun fact no country has a health care sector that is a bigger part of its GDP. Usually hidden in the "service sector". The service is a dropping life expectancy and insane costs I guess. The more expensive it gets the better for the GDP.
  16. I enjoyed the original Mafia a lot back in the day even if the driving was rather difficult.
  17. Just pick the lowest difficulty and play with multiple fighters. You should not have many problems playing that way.
  18. Just finished the The Great God's War series by Stephen R. Donaldson which I mostly finished because I wanted to see how it ends and because I found parts of the world build intriguing. I'm thinking about rereading the The Gap Cycle which is far superior. Currently I'm reading Translation State by Ann Leckie and I'm enjoying it a lot so far.
  19. Definitely. Those are in chronological order unlike the Taltos books.
  20. I would say that you can read them at any time. You might enjoy them more if you already have a decent grasp of the setting though. The first one was puplished after the 5th Taltos book I believe.
  21. I read to books spread out over more than 20 years but if I remember things correctly a chronological order would indeed spoil some surprises.
  22. I read them in the puplished order and I feel it worked well. Apart from Brokedown Palace which is the one non-Dumas style spin-off book. That one I only discovered after the Dumas style books came out.
