cocoalover1956
Robert's Rebellion has some elements of a classic tale in that a dragon (Rhaegar) steals a princess (Lyanna) from the hero (Robert), so the hero slays the dragon to save her. Though once you start adding details like Lyanna not being interested in Robert and the Rhaegar's family being slaughter, it kind of falls apart. Good Guy Garlan
This was probably mentioned before, but I think it's curious that Maester Aemon died while the Cinnamon Wind was just off the shore of DorneSeems like dragons are always dying near or in Dorne
Alex Storm
This has also probably been mentioned before but after decades of trying to get a VS sword in the family, the Lannisters finally get one.........and then Jaime gives it to Brienne lol. sleath56
An interesting, albeit likely unintentional, pattern the Targaryens have is that the Aegons' alternate between good (I, III, V) and bad kings (II, IV) and that from this pattern of even and odd, Aegon VI would be categorized w/ the latter. Jon Weirgaryen
This has also probably been mentioned before but after decades of trying to get a VS sword in the family, the Lannisters finally get one.........and then Jaime gives it to Brienne lol. The quest for the VS swords was spawned off their notorious pride. Giving it away was in a sense of duty - a very different sort of pride.

Bluetiger
Name Drogo: "Norman name, possibly derived from Gothic dragen "to carry" or Saxon drog "ghost". Alternatively, it could be from the Slavic element dragu "precious, dear". The Normans introduced this name to England"

Bluetiger
. There were great elk in that wood, and spotted tigers, and lemurs with silver fur and huge purple eyes, but all fled before the approach of the khalasar and Dany got no glimpse of them. "valyrian" lemurs were known before TWOIAF
