Lol The Walking Dead Season 5 has been a better adaptation of its source material than GoT these past 2 seasons. They keep in big moments and don't needlessly change lines or character motivations for no reason.

Well, yeah, even though the source is not...the best, but I agree.

What I meant, though, is that "Veep" is literally closer to the spirit of Cersei's chapters: it's about a woman in power, trying to rule a country, neglecting her daughter, fighting countless enemies, and going from pathetic blunder to pathetic blunder aided by a group of idiots, traitors, sycophants, and power-hungry assholes. Plus, like Cersei, she's kind of a jerk

In short, Selina Meyer is more Cersei than GoT!Cersei

I find the way they portrayed Tommen and Margaery quite troubling. Couldn't they have framed the sex between them as disturbing? Like have Marg full of doubts and worry about the effect on Tommen? Have Carol showing some concern for her son's psychological welfare before and after the wedding night? Hell, they could have had Marg in a scene with Loras where they discuss her mixed feelings on the subject i.e. her desire to do her duty and her worry about the boy. Although that would clearly run the risk of contravening the rule of Loras having more to his character than homosexuality.

No, it would look and feel strange because the actor playing Tommen now looks old enough to most viewers. And the vast majority didn't read the books, and don't understand how the Marg Boleyn/Tommen dynamics should work. What they should have done is keep it as it is in the books.

This is what I am dreading and the Conleth Hill look he gave Sophie at the San Francisco premier said a lot. Sophie/Sansa does something that is so shocking and seemingly out of character, it will be hard for us to watch and process.

What I like about book!Doran is his melancholy. Now he's just browbeaten. I think show!Doran may be in Porne but he's really a Cylon. Like them, he 'Has a Plan'^TM which means he doesn't have plan but we'll pretend he does because, reasons.

Major problems with the TV Only Plot

1. Arya getting attacked byThe Waif . . really?

2. The sex scene with the Pope err High Septon was odd, unnecessary and odd.

3. Madge talking trash to someone as dangerous as Cersei . not a smart move.

4. Olly, a steward? He's a boy . . a young boy .

5. Where was Benerro? Why replace him with an Asian woman?

6. The Volanteese Brothel has nothing on the one in, "Black Sails."

7. Little Finger traveling at warp speed in a Dark Ages world ..

8. LF giving up Sansa and Sweet Robin . . dumb just dumb . .

You’re smart about these kinds of things larastone: what the fuck in Marg Bolelyn’s goal? Because as far as I can tell, all she wants is the social status of being queen, which makes this nothing more than a petty Real Housewives-esque cat fight with a child being sexually abused as collateral damage.

Margeary on the show obviously is just as snotty and arrogant as show Cersei probably was when she became Queen. If Tommen is as old as the show has him to be, she should just STFU and make babies ASAP.
