[BOOK SPOILERS] Sir Jorah

I hope that he does eventually win back Dany's trust. I feel like he will, but he'll be dying when he does it and it will be emotional for Dany. He'll either get burned trying to protect Dany (sort of a nod to Quentyn) or he'll sacrifice himself some other way. I don't believe he'll live long enough to die of Greyscale. He knows his time is running out and he's desperate to prove to Dany he loves her and has changed, even if it means dying in the process.

I love Jorah and I'm really unhappy about his inevitable death.

I think this is what is going to happen:

- Daenerys marries first

- jorah will fight harshly and almost win

- Daenerys goes into the middle of the camp to confront him, just like in 'The Gladiator' movie

- Suddenly the Sons of the Harpy surround both of them

- Jorah will fight heroically to save his queen life

- Suddenly Drogon lands on the fighting pit

- The Sons of the Harpy are scattered around and burned, but they try kill off the Dragon

- Daenerys jumps on Drogon, and fly away without knowing what happens of Jorah

- Tyrion will take Jorah into service, if he is not dying or burned alive

- Tyrion will take harsh decision (imprison Daenerys' husband?)

- Tyrion will handle the siege on the city in the next season

What about Jorah's greyscale?

lol .. true.

I had something more poetic in mind, like greyscale granting some *magical* advantage against the enemy coming.

I agree with that. I think greyscale will play a role in whatever they need to defeat or face the Others. That's why Shireen is already in the North and that's why I think Jon will head North eventually too ("I'll crown Rhaegar's son" sounds like not a very subtle foreshadowing).

Maybe his arm is burned by Drogon and removes the greyscale. If the red priest can use fire magic to remove the greyscale, maybe a dragon's fire can do the same. I don't see any benefit to killing Jorah off yet. With Selmy gone, she's going to need a trained warrior to serve as her General. If Jorah survives, this is the place he'll take.

I don't think Jorah dies in the pits. I see it playing out something like this.

*Jorah fights in the pits and actually wins. The books and show seem pretty faithful to him being unstoppable when fighting for love.

*Dany and her group go down into the pits when the audience is suddenly slaughtered (I guess it sounds Harpy like, but the scene sounds exactly like what Daario wanted.)

*Jorah takes charge and leads her to safety until The Sons or Drogon show up. He'll stand out and likely be the only one to challenge the dragon.

*Here's where it gets weird. I don't know if he lives or dies here, but the greyscale has to be revealed to everybody, no? It makes no sense for him to die. Dany flies away.

*Tyrion likes Jorah. He'll appoint him to a similar role as Barristan and he and Dany will have a heart to heart after his actions in the pits. Boom. Then the sickness begins to claim him.

I thought he was going to be frazzled by Drogon too, but then he got greyscale. I don't think the writers would have given him greyscale for no reason, especially when they eliminated JonCon as a character but kept the greyscale. I'm betting he will cause a greyscale plague in Westeros (like JonCon will in the books). He needs to get there first.

However, I would not eliminate the chances of Drogon frazzling him. I think Dany's story is due another death before Season 5 finishes.

I think the most likely choice for that would be Hizdar. If he reveals himself as the Harpy.

My thoughts exactly. If Jorah's fate was death, I think they would've just killed him sometime between escorting Tyrion to Dany and being banished a second time. Seems kind of pointless to give him a decent amount of screen time and make him go through some more stuff to just kill him in the end. At the same time, it'd be a bad idea to tone down greyscale and its effects and role, so maybe instead of them giving us Victation's healing scene we get Jorah's.
