King Edd of House Tollet
Margaery has learn well from her grandma, she is indeed a top Player of the Game At first it seemed to me that the High Sparrow outmatched everyone there, but in fact he was being played by Margaery The biggest indication here to me is Jaime being sent off to Riverrun and stripped off his position in the Kingsguard. It's a move that weakens the Lannisters In one stroke, Margaery was freed from the HS, got o hold on Tommen, and got rid of a powerful Lannister in the capital
Channel4s-JonSnow
I'm certain she's playing everyone, although at the moment its hard to see what her endgame is.
ummester
Why do people think the HS is a villain? He is more righteous than just about every other character in KL. The rulers of KL are reaping what they have sown - and that is the HS and the faith militant - they deserve him.

Perhaps because the High Sparrow is a religious zealot and a misogynist who thinks that it is cool to make women do naked slut walks for atonement and to imprison people for being gay and having sex. But yes, the High Sparrow is an interesting and complex character. His religious zealotry is against the cruel and ruthless nobles and for the common folks. If I was a commoner in Kings Landing, I would be on the side of the Sparrows who have my interests at heart and are cutting down the people who ruined my life and killed my family members to play their little political games. Jonathan Pryce does a great job playing the High Sparrow and making him convincing and complex. Apparently his guide for the character is Pope Francis and it is sort of interesting to ponder the situation. Lots of the same good liberal people who hate the High Sparrow's character on the show might be fine with his form of socialist/ class warfare zealotry in real life. But in the eyes of 21st century folks being gay like loras is not wrong. THerefore he is a villain for torturing loras. Also religious zealotry is looked at as negative due to all the negative real world situations it has created.
kg1982
Margaery is playing the High Sparrow, but I also think that the High Sparrow is using Margaery. I don't think that Margaery knew that the Tyrell army was coming to rescue her and I don't know how she would react if she had known. I do think that she will use the situation to her advantage however. Margaery can use this to get rid of Cersei once and for all and be the undisputed Queen to the weak and gullible Tommen. Jaime is already separated from Cersei and I believe Jaime in this instance, that this was a bad idea.
ummester
I don't see the HS as a misogynist or a homophobe - he just adheres to a faith that makes those distinctions. He's always on about everyone being equal in the eyes of the 7 and his actions are only based on their rules, not his - I don't think he is personally getting any gratification from making Cersie walk naked or putting Loras in a cell. Besides, Loras was locked up for lying, not being gay. He was asked if he was gay and denied it - if he admitted it, he probably wouldn't have been locked up - may have just had to take some lashes or something but lying to the Gods was the worse sin. I reckon the HS is fucked though, coz Margery is wrapping him around her little finger and she's dangerous.
RhaenysBee
I really hope so, I really hope so. Margaery is the only person who is fit to be the queen of this shit hole Westeros is. She is the only gurl around who has what it takes to rule.
NoneofYourBiz
I think Marge is definitely playing the HS. Her end game will be the fulfillment of the "younger and more beautiful queen" prophecy. Tommen will die and everything that Cersei held dear will be taken from her. I used to think that Marge was too obvious a contender for this role in the books, but on the show it seems unlikely to be anyone else. No other younger more beautiful queen is positioned to take anything away from Cersei at this point. Funny, up until now I had hoped it would be Sansa. Maybe the valonqar, which I also thought would be Jaime, is Loras. In the books he is supposedly mortally wounded off page, but is he really? It always seemed a bit suspicious to me. I think the Tyrells are about to take down the Lannisters.

Xarkar
I cant see any scenario where Margery is NOT playing everyone. When she finally was able to see Loras, she clearly was putting on an act for the HS. I find it hard to believe that from that time, to now she has randomly changed her mind. If the intent was for her to convert to the faith, there was no reason to waste screen time showing us she is faking it. I think she knows she can control Tommon, and if she gets him to "convert" she gets free. Once she is free, she can then figure out how to get rid of the HS, or deal with him. Truthfully, she may simply use him as an ally. If the Tommon is converted, but still listens to Margery, she could be the ultimate puppet master in Kings Landing, controlling both the Faith and the Lannister army. At first i thought sending Jamie away meant she did convert, but looking it over, it makes sense. It leaves Cersei alone in KL with the only the mountain and Kevan, and I suspect both of them are short lived here.

I thought that was clear by now. She wants to be the Queen. She wants power, for her, for her family. She can't do shit if she's imprisoned at the Great Sept. The same works for her brother. So, she fakes everything. That does two things: First, it makes her look good and pure to the High Sparrow. Second, it makes Tommen even more of a pawn in her hands. Now he's just a puppet of the Faith, and, of course, of her.

House Cambodia
And yes, Marge is totally playing the HS. Problem is, she hasn't tipped off her gran, brother or, crucially, her husband. This is going to end very badly for His Hapless Majesty.

I don't know about this... I have a feeling the punishment for being gay might just be worse than lying. I'm not overly religious, but modern day religious zealots seem to have much more of a problem with homosexuality than with lying. I truly doubt the punishment for homosexuality is a few lashes w a whip.
