This one too, like quite a few other, recent, contiguous projects such as Watchmen and Babylon Berlin, plays silly buggers with timelines, frequently switching to simple past, past perfect and lot of past continuous, from the simple present, present perfect, present continuous, and present perfect continuous.  ARGH! Which utterance because though usually having no trouble tracking the timelines, here we also have lots of different countries -- even continents -- and lots of characters, and it's not as easy to track (well, The Witcher was impossible to track, actually).  Or is it just me who feels that way?

Is it as fast paced and machiavellian as Gomorrah? Trying to escalate this on my list of shows to watch but I'm already in the middle of the first Narcos:Mexico season and Amazon's Hunters simultaneously.

I'm also growing tired with this trend. I blame Westworld for making it popular but at least they used it to good effect (in season 1). A lot of the other shows I'm not even sure it serves a purpose other than to confuse. Watchmen i can allow due to Dr Manhattan, i guess.

Can't find this show in UK yet

I think it was in the BBC News Culture Block, in a list of the best television to watch in March where I saw it was coming to UK television a little later, along with Babylon Berlin season 3 and some others.

It's odd how some programs, particularly the streaming services 'Originals' show at different times in these countries.

Looks like it's going to be on sky atlantic which seems bizarre if this is an amazon show? I should be able to watch it once I'm back somewhere I have access to sky atlantic though.

Two things I deeply dislike:

Spoiler

1) four episodes in our white New Oleanian female protag (lots of protags!) gets punched in the face by men, to show her her place, not to advance plot or character -except that she's viewed by all the man around her as an uppity female who doesn't know and can't do shit;

2) due to point of view, we the viewers are in the position of rooting for a gigantic tanker cargo of cocaine to successfully get to Italy and be distributed through out that country and Europe.

A couple episodes in, and I’m digging it so far. Ofc those were also the Sollima episodes, so hopefully the rest is as good.

Had to look up the lead actress since it was driving me crazy where I knew her from, turns out it was from the insane Nicholas Cage movie, Mandy.
