Benjen Stark: "Are You Alright" by Lucinda Williams

Are you alright?

All of a sudden you went away

Are you alright?

I hope you come back around someday

Are you alright?

I haven't seen you in a real long time

Are you alright?

Could you give me some kind of sign

Ned: Devotchka "How It Ends"

And in your heart,

You know it to be true,

You know what you gotta do.

They all depend on you.

And you already know.

Yeah, you already know how this will end.

There is no escape,

From the slave-catchers' songs.

For all of the loved ones gone.

Forever's not so long.

And in your soul,

They poked a million holes.

But you never let them show.

C'mon it's time to go.

Sansa: "Fairytale" by Sara Bareilles

Once upon a time in a faraway kingdom

Man made up a story said that I should believe him

Go and tell your white knight that he's handsome in hindsight

But I don't want the next best thing

So I sing and hold my head down and I break these walls round me

Can't take no more of your fairytale

Sansa Stark: "I Dreamed a Dream"

Yes! This song is so perfect for Sansa. I even wrote a little analysis of it in the Paw to Plyer thread a few months ago (which I can't link to now because this board has gone back into wonky mode as it does when we get close to the next episode airing).

And for Brienne, the song "

" from Wicked fits perfectly.

Damn. This is how I know I don't have a single artistic bone in my body...

Can't think of a single song right now...

ETA: Wait! I got it!

-- Bran -- when he was falling in his coma...

Walking in the air,

Floating in the sky...

Floating in the air...

We're walking in the air

We're floating in the moonlit sky

The people far below are sleeping as we fly

We're holding very tight

I'm riding in the midnight blue

I'm finding I can fly so high above with you

Far across the world

The villages go by like dreams

The rivers and the hills

The forest and the streams

Children gaze open mouthed taken by surprise

Nobody down below believes their eyes

We're surfing in the air

We're swimming in the frozen sky

We're drifting over icy mountains floating by

Suddenly swooping low on an ocean deep

Rising up a mighty monster from its sleep

We're walking in the air

We're dancing in the midnight sky

And everyone who sees us greets us as we fly

I like to think that when Plants singing about his "rider" that it's Sandor thinking about riding Stranger... as in "galloping away"... :smug:

Galloping away on Stranger, sure, it's a traveling song. But that's an old blues song by Robert Johnson (Plant mixes the original lyrics up a bit, but he keeps coming back to them), his rider is the woman he is longing to be with. "She got a mortgage on my body, got a lien on my soul." :)
