Defend the indefensible in ASoIaF

Well technically he didn't say that, it is implied but he didn't say that his kids were the three heads of the dragon, simply that the dragon needed three heads

He said: There should be one more. Dragon has 3 heads. He had 2 children at the moment and his wife couldn`t have anymore kids. This is initial moment of seeking Lyanna, and abducting/running away with her. he thought his three chilren will be three heads of dragons.

But one of his children might be tptwp, or AA, or both. So he might only have been partly wrong.

Yes, and he thought Aegon will be PTWP. Needless to say, he was wrong about that too.

The Mountain commited his crimes, but there are extunating circumstances. Firstly he has been described as stupid by many people. Therefore we should give him an IQ test to see if it qualifies him as mentally handicapped and therefore has diminished responsibility. Further, his continual headaches (possibly caused by a blow to the head/gigantism/underlying medical condition) and abuse of milk of the poppy suggest damage to or chemical inbalances in the frontal cortex which may have rendered him unable to suppress his actions, particularly in emotionally charged situations. If these are the cases he definitely has diminished responsibility. Further to this, I think we should look into potential abuse when he was a child and also his exact orders from Tywin Lannister, as Milgram experiments may further suggest diminished responsibility in this case.

he had to put down any would be traitors so as to protect his family. They were threat to his house! (From his perspective)

You can't let the Great Houses threaten the king or the king's blood. Who did Brandon Stark think he was, banging on the doors of the Red Keep itself, threatening Prince Rhaegar? If royal authority isn't respected, there will soon be rebellion, treason, chaos, and flouting of the king's laws throughout the realms.

And if Aerys had burned down King's Landing, it was the rebels' fault for provoking a man who had wildfire. If you send armies against a man with WMDs, why wouldn't you expect him to use them? Burn them all!

-Having the ironmen as an enemy, Ramsay did the right thing by torturing and breaking Theon. His disappearance led to a succession crisis that still has the ironmen divided and weakened their position in the North, that is now completely clean of ironmen.

-The Red Wedding was justified. Robb would lose the war anyway, it was only a matter of time. Roose and Walder just tried to save their skins.

-Renly was a traitor and deserved his death. Why do people condemn dark magic so bad?

-Jaime throwing Bran out of the window to save his family. I wish Bran died in that fall. He's so boring.

-Killing all the Targaryens was the only way Robert could secure his crown. If there were still Targaryens alive, his throne would always be threatened. It's a shame that Dany and Viserys escaped.

pretty much this

Ramsay was just trying to teach Theon his real name, he couldn't help the fact that Theon wasn't the brightest crayon in the drawer. Theon's chapters show that Ramsay's teaching methods might be a tad strict, but damn don't they work...
