Thank goodness! Just when I thought we had gone Bloodraven mad. ;)

Oh don't worry we are still Bloodraven crazy. I think the thread is a bit short on topics until someone new shows up and says Dany is fireproof and Ashara is Jon's mother.

No way, Ned + Robert =Jon

It's known.

Nah, it's all about Rhobgart (trademark?) or Rhaegar+Robert= Jon

It's a thin line between love and hate. The woman's name on Rhaegar's lips as he died was Lyanna, but it's all about context: "Oh Robert, we were star-crossed lovers forced to duel to the death, but don't ever tell Lyanna..." Later, Lyanna made Ned promise not to tell her any details about Rhobgart because she couldn't bear to hear how her beloved Rhaegar had betrayed her affections: "Promise me, Ned."

Also, maybe Ned did father a bastard with the anonymous fisherwoman and his name is Jon Snow. He's just not the Jon Snow. There's no law saying two different people can't have the same name and Ned's bastard son could just be a fisherman somewhere on the Sisters. The epilogue of ADOS could be the two Jon Snows swapping war stories:

"The last few years have been rough. I fought/pretended to join the wildings, became Lord Commander of/got stabbed by the NW, battled the Others and more..."

"That sounds bad, but my life hasn't been easy either. One of my nets got tangled really badly the other day."

Then again, maybe the fisherwoman story is just a red herring. I love that one.

Bloodraven in the kitchen with a candlestick?

Huh? Did he cook? What'd he do in the kitchen? Hell's Kitchen and a recipe on how to eat crow?

I feel a script coming on.

Okay, for a brief intermission and an episode of "Sister Wives of Westeros."

To: Princess Elia, (i.e., SISTER wife)!

From: Princess Lyanna, (i.e. SISTER wife)!

Re: Your "Vacation" in Dorne.

Dear Elia,

Can I ask WHEN THE HELL YOU ARE COMING BACK?!

IS RHAELLA WITH YOU!?

I didn't sign up for this- no way.

Last year, I just wanted adventure, travel and see the world.
Now I have all these kids to take of, including Rhaellas!

I NEED HELP HERE!!!!!!!
YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN CHARGE!
YOU ARE WIFE NUMBER ONE!!!!!!!!

Really?

Lets do a head count here:
With Me?

1. Rhaenys- No one told me she's in the terrible two's.

2. Aegon- Aegon is teething. Did you know that?

3. Jon- Jon and his twin Sister Wylla BOTH have gas.

I change clothes four times a day.
Nan is up to her tooth in smallclothes!

And now Brandon and Ned have dropped their kids off while they go "hunting" Greyjoys
(I'm not buying that crap because Ashara and Cat went with them)!

I think they went to Las Essos to hit the casinos.

Now, Cats nutjob sister, (you remember her), wants to drop her kid off too!

I said: HELL NO!
Not until he's weaned, which will be thirty two.

What am I running here?
"Kings Landing Royal Romper Room?!"

You get back here!
(And you can bring your little friend Aldo, the Pool Boy- didn't think we knew about that did you)?

SINCERELY,

Princess "this is bullshit" Lyanna

My only observation, and keep in mind I ADORE Kit Harrington, is that the images from the graphic magazine show his features as more angular and more aquiline than the rest of the Stark males.

Kits features, while certainly handsome, seem a little more "baby faced."

This isn't the image from the graphics, (Frozenfire3 where are you?), but this a piece that makes me think this is a little more what he would look like. I also imagine his hair more straight.

Here I'm :) Present but 'detoxing' from the rampant nastiness on the boards. 'Hate' in any form or shape tend to... freeze my fire ;)

Thank you for digging up my old scans. I still have to go through the last comic book issues btw. Shame on me :dunce:

As for your episode of 'Sister Wives of Westeros'... the bit about Jon and Wylla made my day :lmao:

Lol, one of my pet theories- Wylla Manderly is Jons twin. I figure I should get at least a few of them right by the end of the series. :P And I was also enamored of the idea that in the end, Elia gets a break. She sticks Lyanna with baby-sitting duties while she jets off back to the beaches of Dorne.

But seriously, I can't tell you how distressed I am that you haven't been on here. Don't let anyone steal your joys. Life is too short and real life will put you through enough.

We need more of you and less of the nastys to make meaningful contributions.

Dear Lyanna,

I am NOT coming back any time soon.

Rhaella is with me but she isn't coming back either - if you ask her, NEVER. I am working on it, though.

The Red Keep will be a very sad place to live in without my dear MIL (now our MIL).

I don't expect that you'll know it already but she's the only one who can put up with my (our) husband,

His Grace King Rhaegar when he's in one of his especially sad moods. What, you didn't know how bad those could be?

Ah, love is sweet, dearest Lyanna, but it cannot change one's nature. Anyway, Rhaella is the only one who can be trusted

not to kill herself with grief at the weeping of his harp. I think that's thanks to my (our) FIL,

the late and unmourned King Aerys. He's taught her to endure far worse.

I think Rhaella is having a tough case of 'now, I am a single woman, yay me!' syndrome.

There are two Dornish lords that are falling head over heels for her, one of them younger

than Rhaegar. Isn't it lovely? It cannot be expected to last forever, of course. I'll need her at KL!

I am sure the kids are in good hands with you, dear. It's good for you to have some practice

with what the life of a princess and mother really entails. You should have asked me beforehand.

Oh but you asked Rhaegar and he assured you it'll be all fun and adventures? So sorry, dear.

Rhaegar is all wise and wonderful but he isn't very practical. Again, I could have told you.

For now, Rhaella and I are staying here. We deserve a nice long holiday after being stuck with housesitting duty

the entire last year while you and our dear Rhaegar were, ahem, adventuring. And the house was quite big,

even if it's I who say so!

I have to run now, dear. We're having a party at the Water Gardens.

Oh, and what was that about Aldo? You need to hire some better spies, my dear.

Aldo fell out of favour last week. For now, I am weeping over my solitude at Arthur Dayne's shoulder...

and what a nice broad shoulder it is!

We'll come back, never bother. I can't miss my own coronation!

We'll bring you some nice presents! Now, go kiss the kids from me.

SINCERELY

Princess "Life is sweet" Elia

What does everyone make of the Reed's perplexity that Bran had never heard the KotLT story? Why did they expect Ned to have told him? Family lore? A snapshot of his aunt's character? Or was it a clue to readers that Bran SHOULD have known about it, thus it bears a little closer scrutiny?

Does it follow, then, that bc the Reed's know about Lyanna & Harrenhal, they? know R+L=J

Yes, I think it's a clue that it's a Stark story. As for what else they might know, it seems logical that Howland at least would know about R+L=J. We have Meera's "that's another story..." which might indicate that she knows something more about the Wolf Maid too.

New to the forum and the theory and I like it.

To me, the best piece of evidence for the R+L=J Theory is the presence of the Kingsguard at the Tower of Joy.

You all know the conversation, so I won't repeat it here.

But here's a question that I'd ask naysayers: Why else would the three Kingsguards still be at the Tower of Joy after Rhaegar and Aerys were dead? Wouldn't their oath compel them to travel across the sea to Viserys and guard him since he's lawfully the heir to the Targaryen dynasty?

Even if they were supposed honorable enough to follow their crown prince's last order to the death, it would be a violation of their oaths as Kingsguards. Their duty to their king should be priority over everything else including their personal honor as pointed out when Jamie objected to Aerys raping the queen.

So why are that at the Tower of Joy? The most logical answer is that they're there to defend Rhaegar's unborn child...a child who to their knowledge is the true heir to the Targaryen dynasty. It's also very stupid for Rhaegar to not bring your three best warriors with you when you go to war. Why would he leave them with some Stark girl unless she was pregnant with his child? I'd personally have taken at least one of them with me and left two with Lyanna, but why else would Rhaegar leave out three ummatched trump cards? If they had gone with him, then Robert may not have been able to touch Rhaegar.

Just my thoughts...that's all...

You just supported the case that Rhaegar and Lyanna were married polygamously and the Kingsguard were at the Tower of Joy instead of with Viserys because Jon, not Viserys, was at that time the rightful king. Congratulations.
