You wake up, and it's 20 years ago. You're younger, but retain your memories...

Eh, I guess it would depend heavily on how lucidly I remember the future. Your premise is that I won't be sure if I dreamed it or not; but you also use the term memories, which implies believability.

Given that my 20-years-ago self was quite young, I'd probably not act on the memories immediately. However, as time goes by, and more things that I remember come to pass, I will probably start believing in my experience. At that point it becomes truly interesting. I probably won't be able to change any major historic events, even if I tried (e.g. stop 9/11). I might try to alter my life, but then again, what consequences would that incur? Is my remembrance a product of the way my life has unfolded up to the point, whence I travelled back into the past (consciousness-wise) and would changing my life based on that remembrance render the latter non-existent, thus sending me into a time-travel paradox? For the sake of the argument, lets assume it doesn't.

I would not alter my life in any significant ways. I might make small changes, like not ordering that phone from China that arrived defective, or not drinking a drink too many that Friday night. But I won't change the people I meet, the relationships I had (even the bad ones), the decisions I've made. I have no major regrets in my life.

Wow didn't expect someone to beat me to the punch. I'm with Sivin except I probably wouldn't try harder in school, and although it's an excellent idea I wouldn't have thought of Google stock. Apple at their bottom is probably a good idea too.

I'd also trust in my Dad's love of me, but that ties in with the puberty blockers.

I wholly agree with you, Theda. It is possible that I should have done some things that I have not in the past, as I am looking back now, but I am definitely not regretting it enough to want to go through a bunch of things again. :P

Yes, no more need for school if I'm going to be a multi-millionaire. I take all the money I have and place bets on the teams I know will win the Super Bowl, at the beginning of the season...wait I'm only 19 now, so I get someone to place the bets for me or I just wait a year and a half.

Take most of that money invest in Google, Amazon, AOL companies I know I can make money with and also know when to get out.

I impress my friends with these songs I "just made up" like Lose Yourself, She Will Be Loved, Call Me Maybe, etc, Then when they make the movie Hot Tub Time Machine, Craig Robinson can pretend to steal "Let's Get It Started" from me :P

I'd do everything I can to prevent the Star Wars prequels from being made.

and seriously, I'd try to put right what once went wrong, Princess Diana, JFK Jr., Columbine, 9/11..., but also have to do it in a way that I would not end up in an insane asylum or locked up for life in a government bunker or something.

I'm 20 now so exactly 20 years ago.. I was probably about 6 months old? Oh gawdy, I was probably a screaming wailing baby and basically what theda said, it would be creepy

However if I could go back to being 13 or so.. well I'd go see my grandma first. I miss her so much :(
