  1. Did someone remove the part of your brain that processes humour?
  2. When I say kids in respect to Minecraft, I'm talking like 8 / 9 year olds. I think it's great for small kids, helps develop their brains and probably has a lot of the same benefits as playing with lego. But once you hit 13 / 14, it's time to grow up and start playing some real games, my boy. At least that's what tell my nephew to try get him to start on Legend of Zelda.
  3. I hate seeing Minecraft on lists. As far as I'm concerned it's a kid's game. Baldur's Gate III is overrated for me, wouldn't put it in the top 10. The Witcher 3 is the best RPG (although my personal favourite is Baldur's Gate II) and should be no.1 on most lists.
  4. I started playing Call of Cthulu to celebrate Halloween, was absolutely loving it, then got to this part where there's a weird maze puzzle and got so frustrated that I rage quit.
  5. This song hits me hard. In 2005 I was 21, in Varsity and having a great time.
  6. I watched a series called Slasher, a horror series modelled on Scream and the like. Each season is a self-contained story. Very B-Grade, cheesy etc but I had fun with it. The first three seasons are on Netflix and the fourth and fifth are on AMC+
  7. Alien: Romulus This was a lot better than I thought it would be. Maybe the low expectations helped but I think it's definitely the best film in the series since Aliens. It captured the grittiness and atmosphere of the first film. The lead actress did a good job, although the supporting characters were a bit bland.
  8. Feels good to thrash any team but especially those swamp scum.
  9. Glad to see Thief and Baldur's Gate II on the list. Surprised no StarCraft: Brood War. Witcher 3 would be no.1 for me.
  10. Tuchel is a good coach. But he probably won't make England more exciting to watch. And English fans are going to get so much banter from German fans.
  11. Djokovic will probably end up winning the most majors (I dislike him but what can you do), but the Nadal/Federer rivalry will always the peak of tennis for me.
  12. Hope everyone's staying safe and sound. I've seen footage and it looks absolutely horrific.
  13. I hope everyone who may be in the south east of the US is safe and sound during this mad hurricane. Edit: sorry didnt realise there was a thread for it
  14. The Man in the Iron Mask This movie was panned when it came out but I love it. Great cast and it genuinely makes me tear up at times. Highlander Really goofball and hasn't aged well but still one of my favorites. Unbreakable A really love or hate film it seems. I remember it getting mixed reviews but it had a lot of impact on me and definitely features in my top 10 films. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Might be my favorite swashbuckling adventure movie. I remember my dad taking me to see it; he rarely took me to see movies since he was always playing golf on weekends and it was one of the earliest films I recall seeing in a cinema. Mortal Kombat (1995) So cheesy and really quite bad objectively but hell it was fun.
  15. Harsh red in my view, but was really happy with how we played first half. Man U had a period in the 2nd where they were pressuring us quite hard, but then we got the 3rd. Our defence is so vulnerable that it's like our only chance is to keep scoring goals, but Werner missed two sitters.
  16. I want to play World of Warcraft for the first time. Can I get War Within and just jump in? I like playing MMOs solo or with a small group of friends.
  17. I agree with Ran. I'd say about 20 years for it to be a classic, and I definitely consider Gladiator to be a classic.
  18. Trapped (2024) The latest from M. Night Shyamalan. A father (played by Josh Hartnett) and his daughter go to a concert, and shenanigans abound. It has a lot of the usual problems with M. Night films. Leaps of logic and really ridiculous contrivances, but I was immersed enough to switch my brain off. The great performance from Josh Hartnett helped.
  19. Enjoyed The Defeated on Netflix. Set in post WWII Berlin, what's left of the city has been divided between France, Britain, US and Russia. A policeman from Brooklyn, NY arrives to help the Germans set up a proper police service. I liked the characters and there's some intrigue between the different sections of the city. The Russians are particularly scary.
  20. Ripley was the best series I've seen in awhile so disappointed it kept losing out to Baby Reindeer, but that was to be expected I guess. Happy for Shogun.
  21. Conceding from a corner in a NL derby, unacceptable. So fed up with completely toothless attack. Gonna have nightmares about our constant shit crosses.
