Castel
Seems like there's a Chuck Norris missing from that equation, somehow. Chuck Norris being God, mentioning his other name specifically would have been redundant.
Buckwheat
Not sure about atheism, but both sphinxes and unicorns can be reliefs.
Ser Scot A Ellison
Atheism may be a relief but "Athiests don't have no songs":http://youtu.be/7KMQ_7OFtiY
Lykos
SCAE, I agree they'd have a lot less good songs, especially if there wasn't the concept of God to not believe in. Buckwheat, thanks for the reliefs.
Masonity
We need to get a good atheist songbook together. First nomination: Savage Garden - Affirmation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFzZ-xpyfoo The "I believe in Karma" line may be a problem, but we can hand wave it away as the physical karma I mentioned earlier? And by "heart and soul" they clearly means your personality, nothing spiritual. I have to admit the final line with it's god and eternity is a slightly bigger problem.... Fuck it. Scap that, we still have Lennon I guess. :-(

Lykos
What's interesting is that many lovesongs, let's face it - most songs aree love songs, bring a religious kind of faith into the picture. The Monkees - I'm a Believer. What do you think about love as god? My nomination for an atheist song book would be Leonard Cohen - Diamonds in the Mine. Fat Mans Plan
Chuck Norris being God, mentioning his other name specifically would have been redundant. What does that make Bruce Lee?Apparently god can create a fighter so good that he cannot defeat him.Maybe he just sacrificed himself for our sins. I was sold! ...until she called me yesterday and told me that she needed glasses again. Apparently, miracles just don't have the staying power they once did. BloodRider
BR, So, wait, I'm being smugly superior when I see images like that and and find them smug and insulting? Read the Alt text. (A good rule for all XKCD comics.) Yes - it can become smug turtles all the way down. Still doesn't excuse "Khaleesi did nothing wrong" bullying, stereotyping, and smugness. Basically, they were being a rude, and Christsplaining why they feel their bigotry is justified. I feel no shame in calling them out on that.
