I can start using the latter, though. See, I'm still catching up and did use the word 'shit' for Craster's Keep. Oh well, like BookEdd always says......Craster's Keep is likely built on a pile of...............shit, Craster's to be specific. Sure Burn Gorman was entertaining but that's pretty much the only good thing about it for me That would have been very nice to hear. They could have made it nice, if they tried. There's a well known understanding of what fanfic is, and its not authorized adaptations of work. Ya'll doing it are just trying to delegitimize the show because you don't like something about it, don't pretend otherwise. Well, pretty much the entire cast are working actors. Wouldn't surprise me at all if a lot of them have work commitments they can't get out of; particularly since the US premiere is a bigger event and they may have already rearranged their schedules to be at that one. ITA, while there were somethings I wanted to see with the Bloody Mummers and all, still, Locke was a good character. The Craster's nonsense insert, for some reason, required Locke to lose all his brain cells the minute he laid his eyes on Bran. It's impossible because not everyone is going to agree on whether various speculations and confirmed decisions of the show are good or bad. So, when it's confirmed for example, that Sansa and LF go to Winterfell, it is inevitable, that many book readers are going to have some issues with such a change. Maybe if you didn't tell people they can't say "fanfic" they would not speculate about all the fanfic that will happen in season 5??? Will they have her learn just straight Valyrian, Valyrian with focusing on a Braavosi accent, a bastardized form of Valyrian, or create a new Braavosi language? I think the first more likely than the rest, the second still possible with the rest seeming superfluous. This is an interesting consideration. I wonder if the Free Cities will be dif forms of Valyrian and will they take the time to get into that with Arya, or Tyrion and Varys in Pentos for that matter?, and language lessons and such. I'm wondering if the show still wants to take all the time they did in earlier seasons with this language thing, and will they want to interject that into Arya's story? Hmmmmm, that leads me to remember that Stannis and Davos spoke Common Tongue with the IB. Why? Because of where they were from and the Braavosi bankers did that for them, or are we going to have the Braavosi not speaking a version of Valyrian? That's me, too. I'm interested in ideas put forth, but I scroll a lot of the episode by episode breakdowns, too. And that's fine, this is a broad thread, waiting for the season to start. I would say because he is in Westeros, the show did it the other way around. An envoy to Westeros would be expected to speak the language of the locals. I can start using the latter, though. Maybe the latter is better. I personally think a small portion of fanfic is wonderful and much better than parts of the show and even some parts of the books. In some ways doesn't everyone write fanfiction these days there are very few new ideas or new character molds everything is inspired by something else. George is a fan of many things that have influenced his writing. Everything has been done to death, some people manage to put a new spin on things but even then they still fall into the same old tired tropes in other areas. The TV show has its good, the bad, and the ugly just like everything else. Unfortunately when the how goes bad it seems to go really really bad.
