And, a Girl hadn't even thought of that, I am now going to have a temper tantrum because I expect you are correct and they are still keeping Tom under wraps. :tantrum:

Still, they could let him do a friendly visit for the premiere of his FORMER, cough cough, show. I will offer sacrifice to He of Many Faces, I SWEAR IT!! :leer:

I'm sorry by the way for being wrong about him showing up in 501. That extra week of waiting for him might be too much for you, so I apologize for giving you false hope he'd be on TV a week earlier.

I myself am very glad that Nathalie and Carice will both be in the premiere.

An idea of who is scheduled to attend the premiere, amd of course Brans Ravens

Haha, I think I recall seeing something about the resident Ravens at the TOL on a documentary or something.

ETA: I see some are encouraging my smart mouth and sick sense of humor up there. Much thanks, LOL

It beats the definition discussions and Stannis/Dany talk for sure :)

All that crasters keep shit last year......fanfic

On the other hand even if it read well enough on the page I don't think 5 or 6 episodes of team Bran walkabout would have made an interesting visual narrative.

I'm back to hoping we see him at the premiere now, like a fool. Yeah, yeah, coming to wish his former coworkers well, I am sure. At least I do know we should see lots of interviews and such with him once he is unveiled again on the show, so I'm trying to hang on to that. In the meantime, I finally have enough free time to check out the Jaqen scenes that Le Cygne posted yesterday.

I actually didn't mind that one either. At least compared to all the other deviations, at least this one served a purpose to make us care more about Jon. Still, it featured one of the worst things in the series - the killing of Locke - a ridiculous, stupid and pointless thing I don't think ANYONE can defend

Who cares about Locke being killed ? At least, the show used Locke for the "Let's us, the Boltons, kill Jon Snow because he is a Stark bastard and so dangerous to our claim of the North" plot. Not that I defend the Craster's keep plot. We already knew that Jon was nice, no need to add hundreds of rape.

I don't disagree (though the KOLT story would have been nice to hear) still doesn't change the fact I didnt like what they put on screen. Sure Burn Gorman was entertaining but that's pretty much the only good thing about it for me

Calling anything in the show fanfic is just being childish. There's a well known understanding of what fanfic is, and its not authorized adaptations of work. Ya'll doing it are just trying to delegitimize the show because you don't like something about it, don't pretend otherwise.

It seems the papers were given a press release this morning with Natalie, Kit, Sophie, Aiden and Mark on it which is concerning if they are the only main cast to show up. I would have expected more from a UK based cast to a UK premiere.

Well, pretty much the entire cast are working actors. Wouldn't surprise me at all if a lot of them have work commitments they can't get out of; particularly since the US premiere is a bigger event and they may have already rearranged their schedules to be at that one.

It's only a distinction in the technical/legal sense. D&D are obviously fans of the series. Some of what they have 'created' on the show would to me clearly fall into the category of 'fan fiction' like 'who would win if Brienne fought the Hound' that is the apotheosis of fan fiction type of scenarios.

That is a very good way to put it, especially how Brienne vs The Hound really does seem like a fan fic scenario.

It was a shame that having actually, for once, improved on a character from the books, they then chose to kill him off in the most pointless manner possible, when, after having sent him to the wall, they could have kept him there for another season.

He was a fun character that suddenly turned stupid just because D&D couldn't find better use for him than pointless death

Well, talking about childish....

Ah yes, I guess it would have been nice to use him for the Ides of March plot indeed.

Exactly! They could have easily killed him off during the battle of the Wall if they were hell bent on it which would be far better than whatever the hell that was
