Rhaenys_Targaryen
Some guy made a post at a GOT Fan page on Facebook asking who did Jaime mean when he said that there's 3 men that could probably best him in a fight. That statement probably originated from the show, when Jaime was being escorted by Brienne. I'm willing to assume that Garlan Tyrell or Barristan Selmy would be 2 of the 3 but that's my guess. Ah, now I understand.. From The Prince of Winterfel (s02e08). I'd bet Gregor and Sandor Clegane... Definitly Gregor.. Barristan Selmy perhaps, though possibly Jaime doesn't regard him as stronger at the age of 60. Not Garlan.. We've got no indication that Jaime knows how Garlan fights, though he might. Both men take part in many tourneys. Possibly the Greatjoy.
Rhaenys_Targaryen
Are there any Freys in the Night watch? Just a random thought, Jon would have thought of it. Not that we know of. Also, how many months was Arya trained by Syrio before Ned got executed? How many men did Arya kill with the company of The Hound? Did The Hound spar with her at all? About 2 months. The Hound did not train with her. All of Arya's kills during her time in his company occured at the inn, IIRC. Two men: The Tickler and the squire
mystickristoff
2 months... that's not a lot of swordsmanship training. Did she duel the squire with Needle? Because I know that she caught the Tickler off guard and stabbed him several times with a knife.

Rhaenys_Targaryen
Ah so it was both off-guard attacks. The Tickler was, the squire wasn't completely off-guard... He approached her on purpose, though had not expected an attack. I was wrong about the knife though, for the Tickler, she used the Tickler's blade which had gotten stuck in the wall. The squire: The heavy stone flagon was still on the table. Arya grabbed it with two hands, but as she lifted it someone grabbed her arm. The flagon slipped from her fingers and crashed to the floor. Wrenched around, she found herself nose to nose with the squire. You stupid, you forgot all about him. His big white pimple had burst, she saw. “Are you the puppy’s puppy?” He had his sword in his right hand and her arm in his left, but her own hands were free, so she jerked his knife from its sheath and sheathed it again in his belly, twisting. He wasn’t wearing mail or even boiled leather, so it went right in, the same way Needle had when she killed the stableboy at King’s Landing. The squire’s eyes got big and he let go of her arm. Arya spun to the door and wrenched the Tickler’s knife from the wall. [Polliver, Tickler and Sandor argueing and fighting] “You’re drunk.” “Might be,” said the Hound, “but you’re dead.” His foot lashed out and caught the bench, driving it hard into Polliver’s shins. Somehow the bearded man kept his feet, but the Hound ducked under his wild slash and brought his own sword up in a vicious backhand cut. Blood spattered on the ceiling and walls. The blade caught in the middle of Polliver’s face, and when the Hound wrenched it loose half his head came with it. The Tickler backed away. Arya could smell his fear. The shortsword in his hand suddenly seemed almost a toy against the long blade the Hound was holding, and he wasn’t armored either. He moved swiftly, light on his feet, never taking his eyes off Sandor Clegane. It was the easiest thing in the world for Arya to step up behind him and stab him. “Is there gold hidden in the village?” she shouted as she drove the blade up through his back. “Is there silver? Gems?” She stabbed twice more. “Is there food? Where is Lord Beric?” She was on top of him by then, still stabbing. “Where did he go? How many men were with him? How many knights? How many bowmen? How many, how many, how many, how many, how many, how many? is there gold in the village?” Her hands were red and sticky when Sandor dragged her off him. RumHam
Jorah Mormont never fought in Robert's Rebellion? He did. “It may be that I must die a traitor’s death,” Ser Barristan said. “If so, I should not die alone. Before I took Robert’s pardon I fought against him on the Trident. You were on the other side of that battle, Mormont, were you not?” He did not wait for an answer.

Nights Kings Queen
Hi I'm new on this forum (first post) but not completely new (i've been browsing about on this forum for a little bit). And there was this question (that I didn't even think about before) on a post that asked what colour is targaryen hair.I have always thought it being the creamy colour the show display it as, but the thread had lots of differing opinions that left me confused a bit.So im just asking in hopes of it being clarified. Is their hair a blend of silver and gold?Is it just one colour that ranges from the colours of silver to gold.Or is it two colours (which some characters have been described as having) that are silver and gold? Nights Kings Queen
It's platinum blonde in the show.My bad. But is it the same in the books?Im not sure since daenerys has always been said to have silver hair.
Gomagoti
i think in the books it ranges from silver to platinum to whte gold/pale gold. there have also been targaryens with brown hair.
Balerion the kitten
Nights kings consort I'm tempted to say their hair ranges from the colours of silver and gold but we're never actually been told or confirmed such a thing. The closest we have to text that confirms their hair colour is the fact that certain people of valyrian descent have two colours in their hair.Characters such as serra (who had gold hair that was divided by silver streaks), darkstar (who has silver hair divided by a black streak) and elaena (who had platinum white hair with a gold streak).Judging from these examples it seems like targaryens, and those of valyrian descent, have silver hair that's highlighted with gold. Or the other way around

But is it the same in the books?Im not sure since daenerys has always been said to have silver hair.Silver hair, along with the purple eyes and pale skin, are the classical Valyrian looks. Most Targaryens (including Dany) thus have the silver hair.As has been mentioned, there have been Targaryens with other haid colours.

Ser Muradin the Small
We know that Catelyn Stark was originally bethroted to Brandon, and married Ned only when the former got killed. With that being said, do we know whether Catelyn was older or younger than Ned? How many years older was Brandon to Ned?

With that being said, do we know whether Catelyn was older or younger than Ned? How many years older was Brandon to Ned? Younger. Brandon was born in 262 AC, and Ned in 263 AC, that has been confirmed. Caitlyn's year of birth has been established to have taken place in 264 AC, so she would have been two years younger than Brandon, and one year younger than Ned.
