Kalbear
I was specifically talking about the people in that video Stan linked. They were holding up signs and shouting on a public street. None touched the guy. None threw anything at him. I get that some people did make violent acts (though again that is also not inciting violence) but that video has zero signs of any of that. Kalbear
And on the Australian thing - hey, I'm not bigoted against aussies. Some of my best friends are aussies. I love Inxs and flight of the Conchords is one of the best comedy groups ever. And who could forget how amazing lord of the Rings was?

Horza
kal is sadly incorrect, INXS are in fact all Kiwis, unlike true blue Aussie pop maestros Crowded House and Split Enz.

Given that this is D.C. we are talking about, he'd probably have been able to fit Republican primary voters in the back of a single taxi and drive them to the polling booth. Bonesy
You guys are crazy. INXS is clearly from New Zealand, while Flight of the Concords are from Australia where Lord of the Rings was filmed.

Sausage sizzles are probably the worst thing about Australia. For some reason those putrid sausages on a piece of bread with some chunky fried onion and ketchup haphazardly squirted on top is considered actual food that is acceptable to feed to adults. It's fucking disgusting.

Guess who's back
As someone coming from former USSR country, Bernie really scares me and reminds me of Stalin. History has already shown us that these communist ideas simply doesn't work. And his supporters are more violent and more willing to vandalize others property than every other candidate combined. Truly scary.

Truly scary. Do not exaggerate -- practically the only thing Sanders has in common with Stalin is use of the word "socialist" and even that is in a different sense. Among other things, Stalin was a ruthless revolutionary who used any method necessary (including assassination) as long as it achieved his goals. If Sanders was even a little bit like Stalin, Clinton wouldn't be around at this point. Likewise, his supporters are violent by the tame standards of American politics, but they're nowhere near the point where they become truly scary. The most they've done so far is disrupted events of an opposing candidate -- and even then, not at all to the benefit of Sanders (his opponent is currently Clinton and not Trump). There might be serious problems if they continue to clash with Trump's supporters (who are equally angry), but nothing hasn't happened yet. koudoulis
sanders? communist???!? you are overextending yourself... it takes a lot more than a social health reform and some kind of progerssive economic agenda to compare someone to Stalin.. like wanting to conquer half the globe, or maybe the intention to shoot somebody for starters

I am on Bernie's mailing list since I contribute to his campaign, but I missed his organizing memo asking me to engage in fascist behavior while demonstrating liberal bona fides outside a Trump rally. Oh well, c'est la vie. In other actual election news, he also emailed two polls, one from MO and the other from OH. Both showed tightening races, but other polls from OH were not as favorable. Altherion
My impression (based mainly on this article) is that the chaos in Chicago was indeed organized by Sanders supporters, but without input from the Sanders campaign. I would be really surprised if Sanders approved of it -- he gains nothing from his supporters getting into fist fights with Trump's people.
